GSKILL FLARE achieves highest AMD ram frequency

    hey all

Been playing with the ASUS Crosshair 4 and also the AMD Flare sticks, I noticed Jake from corsair put up some big numbers with GTX4 which are also PSC based. So I thought I would give a crack myself..

I have a few results here, YES I KNOW, the cpuz is a big red cross on it, but this is what happens sometimes especially when pushing memory. You can take my word for it or not I will definatly bench again in the coming days to try and improve my result but also get a nice validation without a red stamp on it!

32m and 1m are pushing the AMD boundaries also.. To be honest I did not expect this result from PSC or Flare but it is a great surprise! Please note NB freq is not relaxed here!

EDIT: After pushing these sticks again I am getting closer to 2400MHz but it is just out of my reach!

    ASUS Crosshair 4
    G.Skill Flare 2000 7-9-7-24 @ -50 subzero
    Corsair HX1000
Thuban 1090X @ single stage cooling
    WD Velicoraptor 300GB

    CPUZ validation of ram @ 1184 9-11-9-30
    CPUZ validation of ram @ 1174 9-11-9-30

    1m @ 1139.9

    32m @ 1095mhz

    cpu @ -50~, ram @ -90~

If Your are reffering to the DIMMs subzero, fresh PSC ICs scales very well under cold (PSCs seen benched -180 with benefit). None the less its strong benching shown here

If the CPU is on phase, then NB for 32M should be around 3200, 3300-3400 for 1M

But I know this is all about ram clocks and....

That's spectaular! I havent seen clocks that high on AMD before...

to reach this sort of numbers, yeah it must be subzero, i am using 1.9vdimm, PSC is a funny ram and on air, wont scale much past 1.7v.. but when you make it cold and also give it more volts, then it scales nicely!

    3. READ to PRE Time(tRTP)

    did you use cpu tweaker?

    i'm prepping for amd clocking

I hate the thread title. Even though you didn't use world record.

Nice memory clocking, though ... good to see close to DDR3-2400 on AMD. Any chance you will be pushing this memory with real CPU and IMC clocks anytime soon? I'd very much like to see the effect in 32M at serious frequencies

Nice clocks on AMD young one!

I personally got rid of all AMD stuff, and wont turn back before they make decent products for ram again..

Seems they've just past CLARKDALE IMC.... Still not up at bloomfield level, nor Lynnfiled, Gulftown.

Enable your disabled cores and you should lose the red cross.

Very nice clocks there Get that NB-F up

OH REALLY? i dont even need them disabled, just disabled them to see if it would help and never re-enabled... thanks dude

thanks all for your kind comments... i dont normally bench this sort of thing, but it is definatly addictive, especially when only 10mhz away from 1200...
