Angry Prometeia Mach II BUG - "FAIL SENSOR - Sensor ufA"

My brand new Prometeia Mach II, gives me an error - "FAIL SENSOR - Sensor ufA" (cooling unit quickly reported 80ºc than gives the error) - a the unit don't even start

Anyone know what is "Sensor ufA" ???
And what can I do solve this ..

Chip-con are on holidays, I hope I don't have to RMA it back...

    Thank you

Lo m8, I had the very same prob ie as soon as I plugged the mach II in the temp would rise to over 80C (with out the actual unit being tunred on) it would then give that error.

But my unit had worked fine up till that point, anyway I unplugged the unit and left it over night and it was fine in the morning and has been ever since...well for at least a month now.

I think its more of a controller board bug than a dodgy temp sensor myself so hopefully yours will be fine to.

    Still no go

I leave it unplged for 3 days ..every time I connect it the temp quickly rise to over 80C and gives me the same error - "FAIL SENSOR - Sensor ufA" (also the red light in the back of the unit turns on) - and I can not turn it on.

I even rebuild all the system, loosing a lot of time (and seal string) and the problem persists.

    Other ideas ..workarounds???

This is a problem / bug in the chip-controler ..I think I don't have other solution to send my brand new Mach II back to Chip-con ..unfortunately they are closed for holidays from 21st July to 4th August - what a bad luck

I advise all users / potential buyers of Mach II to be aware of this problem and to compel Chip-con to solve it rapidly - MachII chip-controler have and upgradable firmware, maybe and upgrade will the be enought.

In the past Chip-con have a great support department, but have been some recent changes, some support people left Chip-con, I hope they maintain a good support level, essential for this kind of products

    Hiya,

I have exactly the same probelm.
Just unplug the sensor and plug in a usual temp sensor.
It will show minus temps but you can start the unit and use your computer till chip con is back
I did contact them last week, but no answer so far.

is it possible that this error happens when the operating temperature is too high?

In the documentation of the mach 2, they say that it is from 15°C to 30°C. My room temperature is 33°C. Yesterday my mach 2 worked fine, today I got the FAIL SENSOR error

Can this be the reason, or it the sensor just low quality?

I don't think so, before send my MachII back to Chip-con I use a AC to lower the ambient tempeature to 23ºc - no good FAIL SENSOR error ..

Anyway before report the error the sensor display a temperature up to +80º C ..I know the Portuguse temparatures are high, but no so high

This morning I plugged in the cables and yes, my mach 2 is working

Don't know how it comes, did nothing special, just unplugged the power-cable one night

I hope the error won't return
