This mod is a MUST for anyone who is serious about clocking their processor on this board.
I performed the droopmod on my P4P800. I didn't have a 50K variable, but everyone seems to think about 28K is the best setting... So, I grabbed a 30k resister (actual resistance was 29.5k due to tolerance) and soldered it between the two spots for the droop. My vCore voltage is now ROCK SOLID. I have it set to 1.625, and at this setting it's 1.68 Idle, and under a full cpu load, it's 1.64! AWESOME... and on top of that, at 3750 Mhz the processor still under a load only reaches 40 C, and idles @ around 30 C...There's a bit of an offset between what MBM 5 says and what my bios says... the bios reads about 3-4 degrees higher, but even so, that's not bad. Can you believe I'm using a CoolerMaster Aero4 for the CPU? Can't wait till I do something better for cooling.
Best mod I ever did to my board. It's running better than I expected it to... Thanks xtremesystems, you've been a huge help...
