With that version you can adjust the multi but it doesnt work for the fsb.

I found the later version of uguru software works very well and has many options that can be adjusted in windows.

    Hey there K32a,
Is your friends a rev 1.1 board? I'm kinda curious as to how it clocks.

bias_hjorth, are you sure that works? I emailed CPUZ just the other day, and they said ClockGen won't work with the uGuru chip.

Yes clockgen will adjust the multi fine, there is no option in that version of uguru to change the multi, you can use it to change fsb and all the voltages for v core, v dimm and so on, it works well, just one thing the vdimm is now limited to only 2.8v which is a real shame and holds back on the overclocking ability of the board.

Here is a screeny to show you the options.

The older version of OCGURU lets you go up to 3.2v in the software

Have you got it to work?

I tried that and it didn't work for me, the machine just freezes and when I looked in the bios it had the most amazing chinese writing where it normally shows the voltage for the ram

    Hello, do i know you?

Well, his board is rev 1.0 and the agp/pci lock wont work with the 15 bios on rev 1.0 boards, only on 1.1 A crappy thing.

Bios 14 enables the locks, if the board doesn't lock after you install bios 14 then it needs rma to Abit for a hardware fix.

    Does OCguru confirm the lock?

Yes, if you set to fixed in bios and reboot, open uguru and if it shows 66/33 then its locked, if it shows 68/34 then lock is not on, 68/34 is the default on this board for some reason

This applies to version 1.0 board.

My mushkin Bh5 double sided is not good in this board, kingston BH5 single sided works ok for me.

Imo the mem slots on this board are not good quality, even when the memory seemed as though it was correctly inserted I had the odd bsod and crashing which I knew was memory related. I know this sounds silly but now when I insert the memory I move it a little side to side, it seems to help with contact and that cures the problem.

Are you guys putting your RAM in DIMM 1 & DIMM 2? Try DIMM 2 & DIMM 3. I found out awhile back my AN7 is supposed to use 2 & 3, and it seems better on the KV8 Pro as well.

This is the UGURU I use to give 3.2v

    www.aocb77.dsl.pipex.com/uguru.zip

Note non of my Mushkin bh-5 works with this board, all my Corsair XMS 3500 does. Corsair XL PRO also.

Also note that VTT does not track VDIMM above 2.8v, at least on the board I had.

Doh, that's what I get for trying to think, at 2 or 3 in the morning. I'm not sure if my 2x512 of Mushkin are single sided or double sided, that might be why some work & some don't. BTW, I had the K8NS Pro in my rig not too long ago, and THAT one has 3 DIMMS, lol.
