My little brother keeps unpluging my PC's power cord...

...Out of the PSU whenever he gets mad at me. This has happened several times, and I want to prevent it. Is there a way to hard lock the power cord so that it won't come out of the PSU with force? Maybe a power cord with a lock? Does such a thing exist? My last resort would be a casemod, but I really don't want to do that.

Thanks in advance, help is greatly appreciated.

Does he have access to the wall side, or the actual PSU side. If he can only pull from the wall end, a battery back-up may give you a few minutes to get the power cord back in.

I've seen things that actually screw onto the socket on the back of the PSU that wrap around the power cord so you need a screwdriver to unplug the cord.

Ok, easy mod, get a piece of exposed wire, and wrap it around the cord, plug the other end into the psu. For maximum effectiveness leave a puddle of water near the computer. ( I would actually do this if I had a for a brother)
    How old is he?

I cannot believe you guys would suggest harming him by electrocution or tazer, just get even and set fire to his room.

on a more serious note, put the comp somewhere high where he cant reach it quickly or turn the back towards a corner so the wire does not expose

Old enought o be beaten for his behavior. he IS your brother...

If not, explain to your parents he can destroy a PC that way. Nothing like pulling the plug that one time it's writing and there's your formatted drive blown away. My kids did it to my wife once. After that, they didn't get to touch the PC for 6 months. Fixed that problem.

    8?

    LOL

Put your computer on your desk.

You could always flip the PSU around in your case so that the plug is inside. I've done that before in a similar situation.

That's a great idea - are there screw holes on the other side? As long as there are no sharp edges where you run it into the case, that might work. If not, you could put some sort of stress relief fitting on the inside so the cord couldn't be pulled through.

I wish I knew! I've seen them, mostly on important stuff like servers in the datacenter. Maybe make your own out of some sheet metal?

get a Uninteruptable Power Supply (UPS) ... i worry the data corruption in HD is way more troublesome, reformat .. etc

i dun know bout the laws of your country ... but you can emphasize the sibling rivalry by showing some cool wrestling moves
for me ... in my country ... i used to cane children who cant get my message thru the ears ... transmiting message thru the skin pressure works perfectly (as if it's optical fiber)

moral: analog signals is not good in data transmission and can have errors (misinterpretion)
