nForce4 Sli board: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe vs. MSI K8N DIAMOND vs. GigaByte GA-K8NXP-SLI

Which is the better board for overclocking with Kingston Bh-5 ram and a ocz booster. I have a 939 3200+.

I know the DFI Lanparty nF4 SLI-DR is the best board but whats second best.

    Thanks

I'd go for the K8N Diamond, if not the DFI...

Tried Asus, MSI and DFI so far but not with BH-5, only with TCCD and VX. As of now (up to BIOS 1003.005), Asus is the worst board for overclocking. I can't get it over 250 HTT with 1:1 RAM @1T timing. The same CPU and RAMs have no such problem with MSI and DFI. I haven't tried Giga though so can't help you here.

ah aight, yes i would go for the msi, but i think the dfi is worth the extra 90~ :P

Search the forums about the neo4, its a very nice board.

The P4C800-E was kickass, the A7N8X was decent, the AV8 was a favourite until the NEO 2 got some bios update. They're a good balance of stability and good overclocking, just not xtreme.

My vote goes to DFI, I think it's well worth the extra wait.

Well many many people really under rate GA-K8NXP-SLI.
Seriously i have tested this board. And it simply blew away my A8N SLI.
Ever since i saw this board in action i have started to hate my A8N SLI.
Yeah i know there is limitation of Vdimm to 2.85 but if you are gona use ocz boster then this is the 2nd best board i will recommand after DFI.
Somehow MSI has lost my trust with 3 Neo2 Platinum giving up on me.

Asus has always sucked on AMD. They favor Intel.

Gigabyte i heard was supposed to release a new bios which would make it a great alternative to the DFI.

    I used my winchester 3200+.
On GA-K8NXP-SLI it went 2.5Ghz on 1.45v vcore and 2.8 vdimm on just PC3200 kingston value RAM. Which is highest I have seen with that RAM.
Neither MSI neo2 ( 3 of them ) ,A8V Dlx and A8N sli managed those speeds with that RAM.
I know that really $#!^^y RAM but here in India we dont get all fancy stuff like ocz VX or Gskill. Its impossible to even find BH-5 and tccd RAM here.
Its really pitty that companies like gSkill and OCZ dont target this part of the world when there is huge potential of success.

DFI board is also impossible to find thats why i am gona go out and get gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI. In past i had gigabyte boards and none let me down.
    A8N SLI is outta here

You don't get fancy brands over there?
That's a bit your fault is it not?
The stores should be the ones making contact with manufacturers to sell their products.
Of course, the economic standpoint might not favour such "luxuries".

You can always buy bh-5 on ebay... very nice deals there..

To be honest I dont trust ebay to purchase computer stuff
Well we do get fancy stuff here. Most of high end CPUs, motherboards, monitors, blah blah blah is here.
Just not memory and somewhat expensive graphic cards.

Well it depends on the company too.
Kingston, Corsair used to give adds in newspaper, tech magazines here looking for dealers. thats how they got themselves established here. All you get here is Kingston and transcend and very expensive corsair.
I am building and reselling computer parts for 4 years now. I have sent emails to soo many companies regarding this to no replies or replies with not interested answer.
I even know couple of mass importers here who will be interested in such stuff.
Looks like i will have to start posting in these company forums

That might be an interesting approach.

    Good luck
