I know it should be out really soon but they say it's already in stock and this store is pretty reliable.

Lol. I love it how all the big hardware companies jump on the Fatal1ty bandwagon. One appearance on MTV and they think the guy is a celebrity with the kids. They're just trying to make as much money as possible, and who can blame them? And Fatal1ty, too. That guy has got to be loaded...

MAkes you wonder if it will be able to cool an X1900XTX. I know the VF-900 can't.

Isn't it nickel coated copper which worsens performance in aid for a more shiney appearance?

A quick lapping will remove the nickel coating. I really can't understand why anyone would coat copper with nickel on a heatsink. Copper has about 10x the thermal conductivity. It seems to me that the nickel is just a big waste of money.

You're going to lap all the fins and heatpipes down to the copper? There won't be anything left, maybe a bit of paper thin copper and after all that time, you could've just bought a vf900-cu?

ive seen some of their sinks that looked very red, and they are only copper, some other copper sinks look that way as well.

i dont see what other thing he could be talking about then, unless it was red andonized aluminum which ive never seen zalman make.

I'd just lap the base. That's the part that really counts. But yeah...I'd never buy one of these Fatal1ty heatsinks in the first place, I would just get a VF900.

The Zalman FC-ZV9 has the following:
The FC-ZV9 provides unbeatable performance for overclockers and gamers. The cooler has a copper base and fins for excellent cooling performance. Two high performance heatpipes allow faster heat transfer and the ultra-thin radial fins for smooth airflow. The heatsink is black coloured and has an ultra quiet red LED fan.

    - Dimensions: 96(L) X 96(W) X 30(H)mm
    - Weight: 185g
    - Base Material: Pure Copper
    - Speed: 1650 - 3600rpm
    - Noise Level: 20 - 36.0dB

    Compared to VF-900 Cu:
The Zalman VF900-Cu is the ultimate quiet cooler for video cards due to its pure copper heatsink and dual heatpipes for maximum performance. Ultra-thin (0.2mm) copper fins minimises airflow resistance and supplied with a Zalman FanMate 2 controller to balance cooling and noise. The lightweight design minimises excess force on the VGA card.

    - Supports all of the latest graphics cards including ATI X1900 and nVidia 7900 Series graphics cards.
    - Speed: 1,350 - 2,400 RPM
    - Noise Level: 18.5 - 25.0dB
    - Base Material: Pure Copper
    - Bearing Type: 2-Ball
    - Weight: 185g

And this is the VF-900 Cu LED version:

So they're exactly the same apart from colour and the fact already stated that the FC-ZV9 has a faster fan lol.

The next time you're having a bad day, imagine this:
    You're a siamese twin.
Your brother, attached at your shoulder, is gay.
    You're not.
He has a date coming over tonight.
    You only have one ass.

Yup, Zalamn anodised the Wendy coolers.

Didnt know he'd been on MTV... why? He plays computer games...hardcore overclockers are cooler than him

I`ve had one Wendy product...the Abit NF4 SLI board. I`ll never buy anything else with his name on it.

He's not a bad guy...he's just trying to cash in on his skills as a gamer. And why not? If I was that good, I'd try and make cash from it, too. But yeah...Fatal1ty products are a waste of money. They had a poll at the Abit website to see what people liked about the new Fatal1ty mobo and the number one answer was "flashing LED lights". Lol...throw some lights and a Fatal1ty name on something and you can jack the price up 50%.
