    X1800XT 823/990 watercooled

Update with a nature run in 01 with 1ghz on the mem

I disided to make a new thread, course we solved som problems, and i did some more benching the other thread turned out to be more like a "helping" thread good help that is......thanks "Atomicpineapple"

I was able to push the voltage to 1.58 messured with a DMM. this is max for atitool

I was able to bench at 823/1000 as max for today.

The card still have lot more in it. max temp under full load at 1.58 was 23 degrees water was 3 degrees warm.

Here are some screenies, and some compare links

Thanks i still need to find out how to use ati tools for clocks, course oc tool mess with the timings on mem. i had it working one time, and i score so much higher FPS at lower clocks

good job Sioux..... I've been following your progress for a while now and glad to see people are finally getting these cards to overclock and overvolt. Time to take it up a notch.
The little air system that could.

Is 3.3ghz all the FX will do on water ?? ... cos I think you're cpu limited for those clocks. BTW congrats on breaking 1800mhz mem on water

    Shoot for 12k 05

Well heres my results, totally CPU limited by my 2.7GHz X2 3800+ card cooled by cheapo water, zalman RAMsinks on the mem.

no...it does 3374mhz max benchstable, and 3580mhz on a Vapo LS

1800 mem is on air stock volts, with a fan blowing on them

So core on water and mem on air ? ... makes sense...but with a higher core comes room for higher memory So indirectly, the water cooling DOES help the mem

Its a massive bottleneck, had to really push the card to get 20k in 03 due to the lack of CPU power, if my CPU had another 100MHz in it I'd have made 20k at much lower card clocks. And what are we supposed to buy now? Um, an FX-57 on phase would be nice, or a wicked clocking FX60

What was your max overclock before you got the core to 1.58? I have been stuck at a low overclock on my BBA X1800XT.

Well Done Sioux!! I've used an Asetek CPU block for GPU. It did a nice job.....
