    Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3, Pretty good start

    Hi all.

It's been a long time i haven't played with some hardware, and it's a pleasure for me to show you the first results i have with this cheap conroe m/b.

    I used a E6300, m/b is unmodded. F2 Bios
I'm really surprised by this cheap setup
This board work like a charm

It's time to sleep for me. i hope better results for tomorrow.

    Wow.

Amazing performance from a budget board. Strange that we haven't seen any great results from the Q6; the supposedly higher end board.

    Glad I didn't order a P5W DH now.

483? I didn't see that coming. Seems as though the new bios works pretty good. From the Gigabyte website on the DS3 bios update:

    F2 2006/07/07 1. Improve CPU FSB timing

    Well I guess so. Lol.

    fsb483 looks inrediable, i test on my DQ6, mch +0.6V , only gains 400fsb,

If the DS3 shares the same "extreme" options as its big brother the DQ3 then it should be as follows:

CPU Voltage Settings: 1.0250V to 1.6000V (in 0.00625V steps), 1.600V to 2.375V (in 0.025V steps)
Memory Voltage Settings: +0.025V to +0.775V (in 0.025V steps)
PCIe Voltage Settings: +0.05V to +0.35V (in 0.05V steps)
MCH Voltage Settings: +0.05V to +0.75V (in 0.05V steps)
FSB Voltage Settings: +0.05V to +0.35V (in 0.05V steps)

Plenty of voltage there for those with shaky hands who are reluctant to volt mod their boards.

So its not just the bios update? There is a board revision as well? misteroadster, please post pics of the revision marking on the mobo and the retail packaging please.

    @hicookie you're CPU-Z shows revision 1 for the mobo ...

but the F2 bios date doesn't match the date shown on the Gigabyte site. Probably not important but I'm just wondering why.

EDIT: Whoops! different board and bios ... nevermind.
