    FX-57 Week 30 / 3400 stable with vapo ls

Got this FX-57 in on Friday to replace my 4400+
The x2 generates too much heat for a vapo ls with lots of vcore and 3ghz+. The x2 was an awesome chip @ 2750. I just wanted more

    CABNE 0530APMW
    Y9...

This chip overclocks well on lower volts. Rock stable @ 3400 / 1.584v. Benchable @3500~. Higher volts don't seem to help much. I haven't gone past 1.65v in cpu-z. With lower temps I'm sure this chip could do much more.

Your chips performs just about exactly like mine. I think they are twins...wait, they are! My 0530 APMW hits a wall around 3500Mhz but it completely benchable/stable at lower volts as high as 3.4Ghz. I think temperature is exactly the reason.

Nice, I read in a lot of places that week 30 performs well. What vcore do you run and what's your max temp on the cpu and evap at full load. Mine is 6C/7C and Evap @ -39C/-40C.

yep, just about exactly the same. Seen temps as high as 8C with evaps showing -35C or lower. The VapoLS just needs more kick.

The SuperPI score I have above is the max I can reach with 1:1 ram and 2-2-2-5-1T.

I can run it @ 2500 maybe a bit more with less tight memory timings but it doesn't improve the score. Also I'm not sure if there are any tweaks for SuperPI I'm justing running everything default.

ok, that is nice, but did you try more vcore ?

is jest that the fx57 0516 can ran super pi at 3600mhz - my pic (same cooling).

1.696v and 3550 will cause windows to BSOD. I can go up to 1.65v @ 3550, 1.62v will give me 3550 also.

    thx perc,

When running dual prime over 2900mhz and 1.65-1.73v. Depending on the mhz it could take 2-20 minutes before the evaporator would start going below -36C. Within a few minutes it would start heating dramatically. CPU would reach 10C+. Evaporator would go as high as -6C. The cpu would crash around 20C. It's like the cpu was taking over

    That was my experience anyway.

yeah man and you have a vapo? im only running a stock mach1 and what your saying as about what my 3800x2 would do too. only thing is this 3800x2 would hit 3gigs at 1.55v wich read around 1.5v in windows and cpu-z so i never seen my crash but it would deff pull my evap temps down to around -30c/-28c wich was at about +3/+4c core temp... looks like i just may do what you did and buy the FX57 instead of a bigger X2 chip. well hey thx for sharing what you went thru with your x2 it deff helps me decide what i want to do...

    thx perc,
