I reckon that will be a good board if Biostar continues with what they have done with Tforce in the past. (Back when I was looking for an AMD Rig there 754,939,AM2 stuff was all doing well for budget offerings. How they do with intel I have no idea.)

I would choose this hands down agains the Gigabyte board. The latter has - as their tradition is - FUBAR BIOSes, just look at the show starting on the other threads : cannot go over 400, memtest errors, help me, &^%& Gigabyte etc

No cooling on NB, just a 120mm fan on the ram.

40° is the cpu temp under Tuniq tower 120 + 120mm papst.

Biostar tforce 965P vdimm mod is the same than an Epox 9nda3+

The Gigabyte 965 boards (especially right now DS3) will get more and more mature by newer bios versions. So they aren’t that bad as you think.

    Allready asked to biostar

As per Memory Voltage It's unable to increase It By BIOS update. It's
hardware limitation. We had designed the Memeory Voltage at 2.3V as maximum
Voltage. This Is because high Memory Voltage will burnt the memory or
reduce the life cycle of memory.

    Haha, did biostar answer this?

Sure it will reduce but 1.8V for cpu and 1.8V for NB will reduce the life cycle of cpu/nb as well lol

yep sure 1.8v on c2d in air , that will reduce his lifetime

Yep it was biostar answer , when he gave me new Bios.

He also said 2.3v, but it s 2.2v bios , 2.11v by sensor.
