    Volt Mod Help Needed

I bought a SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9600XT Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-Bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "100573-RED" -OEM (Rev.4.0) to use as a test card for my cascades. It clocks 640/750 Air.

Is anyone aware of voltmod pics on this card? I can't find any 9600XTs with this card layout.

    Hey bud.

Can you reply back with what chips those are, you never know what chips are controlling what on non-reference designs, and also see about finding places to read Vddr and Vgpu.

I would check around the ram chips for Vddr and check the Capacitors on the back of the card where the core sits.

I am not the HellFire that writes bios files. I work strictly on voltage modifications.

    LOL

I was just getting ready to ask you which chips you were referring too, so I took a quick peek at the pics to see if you could see them all and I noticed you had them marked.
    I marked the pictures below.
I did the best my eyes could do. I've got an idea on which cap pins to check. There are some pins sticking through the card in familiar places like older cards. I'll check them soon.

I know you are a very busy man , Hell-Fire. This is not near as important as your mods your doing. Whenever you can get to this is fine with me.

I will take a good look at your pics later this week.

I am trying to get everything out by tomorrow.

On a quick peak, the RT9173A is controlling the Vtt on the card, which makes me think that the LM324 beside it may be running the Vddr. If I were and engineer, I would put the Vddr regulator near the Vtt one.

I will get back to you, but try to find read points and mark those pretty please with sugar on top. Also, check pin #5 on RT9173A after finding the Vddr read point to make certain it is indeed running Vtt regulation (which I am sure it is). Pin #5 is the one on the left if you arrange the RT9173 with the pins pointing up.

Pin #5 on RT9173A is reading 1.43, so exactly what does that mean?

It would be nice if I learned something while we do this.

If you need me to check more places, please point them out.

If you still need Vmods for the card I've done Vgpu and Vmem on a card which looks like it has a very similar layout to your card.
