you got really great ram...normally it's 5.0ns chip.

you could try flashing bios with 9600PRO

Please post pics of the card.

I like my women the way I like my processors...naked.
I am not the HellFire that writes bios files. I work strictly on voltage modifications.

Here's the mod for the Turbo-Guru version, i suppose it's the same. Use 10K pots for both Vmem and VGPU.

Hi, I have this card too. ABIT 9550 CDT128
My ABIT come with 3.6ns SAMSUNG memory.
How can I do the Vmod?
It´s possible to put another BIOS to the card without the VMOD?
Now is configured core 250@425 mem400@511
    Thanx.

    Now is time of "VMOD"

Or better charge directly another card BIOS ?
Candy, can you tell me what Bios do you have on your card? The Powercolor 9600pro Card seems to have another PCB.
    Thanx.

    you have excellent ram !!!!

    1000/3.6 = 277 !!! that's 550DDR !!!! OMG !!!

With proper cooling and some mod on ram it could fly 650DDR

maxilemax tell me default speed of ABIT

    250/400 ?

Well if that's excellent, how's the 2.5ns Hynix RAM on the Abit R9550XTurbo-Guru ? Too bad there's something else (probably video BIOS) limiting the overclock, it can do only ~DDR740.

Yes, well it's stable at 800Mhz but it generates alot of artefacts, 740Mhz gives just a little number of artefacts and 700Mhz is perfectly clean. After running some tests i've concluded the video BIOS is at fault, there might be a limitation introduced by Abit, because this RAM can theoretically run at at least 800Mhz, even more considering the card can set the RAM voltage up to 2.85V (yes, the card can set GPU and RAM voltage, trough a software utility). The GPU clocks pretty well too, let's just say it can bench pretty well over twice the default frequency.

"...The APW7062 is a voltage mode, synchronous PWM controller which drives dual N-channel MOSFETs. It integrates the control, monitoring and protection functions into a single package, provides one controlled power outputs with under-voltage and over-current protections.
APW7062 provide excellent regulation for output load variation. An internal 0.8V/1.27V (APW7062A/B) temperature-compensated reference voltage is designed to meet the requirement of low output voltage applications. It includes a 200kHz free-running triangle-wave oscillator that is adjustable from below 70kHz to 800kHz... ".
    .There is a link
on wich everybody can download an APW7062A pdf's !!!
