    9550 vmod request-update:additional picture, chip identified

    The one i have is on a low profile pcb, so i couldnt find any vmods for it.

    yeah, i resoldered soldered that, i got it for free because it was corroded (that area of the ram and a few other areas)so bad it artifacted. acetone, alcohol, and even soapwater couldnt clean it off

    For the Vgpu mod, connect a 10k VR between the pin in the above post and ground. Decrease resistance to incease voltage.

    For the Vdd mod, can you check the voltage at the point I've marked, and get a close up picture of the area please.

    vgpu mod soldered, i havent adjusted the pot yet.

    where's the vgpu measure point?

    You should be able to read Vgpu on the legs of the inductor I've circled.

    For the Vdd mod, can you check the voltages at the points I've marked. Keep the card at constant load when checking the voltages.

    i get 4.8v from that measure point

    point on the left is 1.23v or so, vgpu. the point on the right is ground.

    i got this card because it artifacted and it was free. i figured some extra voltage would make it work fine. the card seems to have just died. also, turning the pot didnt change vgpu, so it wasnt related to the mod.

    ah well, soldering practice

    Too bad, I wish I could spot possible vmods like that!
    Main Rig: E6600, Asus Commando, Leaktek 8800GTX, X-Fi XtremeMusic, 2x Seagate 250GB 7200.10 RAID-0, Thermalright Ultra 120, HR-03+, Toughpower 1000watt.
    OC Settings: 3600mhz (400x9) 2:3, 1200mhz 5-5-5-15, 650/2000 GPU, 1.4vcore, 2.3vdimm.
