    BigToe's DFI nF4 623-2BTA BIOS

    I was wondering if anybody else is using this BIOS. I did a search and only found three threads and they weren't directly dealing with this BIOS.

    Found the BIOS over at DFI Street

    I noticed that one person said he got an extra 50MHz with this BIOS. I'm wondering if its worth a try from the 704-2BTA BIOS.

    Most likely I'll try it out tomorrow, but I want to see what other people's experience with this BIOS is.

    Yeah, this came out VERY recently....anybody here got results yet, I don't quite trust DFI forums for results like that.

    I just flashed with the 623-2BTA. I'll start tweaking and post results as soon as I get any.

    hemm, -2 bioses are made for LowLatency ram, but you use HL ram, isn't so?

    Well I tried it and this BIOS is unstable, at least in my system. The system would hang right before Windows would start booting, and it took relocating of cards, and clearing the CMOS before it would even boot into Windows. Then when I finally was able to get into Windows, I go to reboot to change some settings it would hang again before I get to the Windows boot screen.

    I don't know why exactly it does this, but I flashed back to the 704-2BTA BIOS and all seems to be back to normal. Oh well, it was worth the try, though the frustration probably wasn't worth it.

    @Enigma:
    I'd give the 623-3 a try.
