    21800: FX5700U GDDR-3 powah:) 615/1205 no mods

Well, i got a bit stuck at 25.7k (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7772081) with my Sparkle 5900XT (630/955 watercooled with 1.9V Vgpu), maybe i'll give 44.03 a try (that was done with 53.03).
So I give a try for Albatron FX 5700U with GDDR-3 memory. First run at 590/1180 aircooled gave me 21322, that's 50 points better that previous record held by MickeyMouse. Then I rip out that poor cooler (card was quite hot!) and mounted my EXOS and some spare memory heatsinks from ASUS V9950GE. Clocks boosted to 610/1205 and total result to 21800 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7785826).

So, one more small record for the team!

Gonna voltmod that beast and see if it will handle 700 on gpu...

Budget NV cards is much more funny to play with, as for me. Though, cash in hand for 6800U and i'm gonna return to orb top-10

thats a crazy good score and I applaud you for using "legit" drivers too. did you lodbias this too? that gddr3 ram is sweet stuff. 1.2GHz? wow! that would easily give you the record since others are like 200MHz behind you in the ram. bet you can get 22.5k with vmods

BTW congrats Mickey, he is @ 22.4k now with his FX-51 system. So that's will be nice race Good luck for us both...

Jason / MM has just popped up a 24k score for the 5700U

Good job he's not using the 44.03 drivers as that would have been 25k.

Amazing result for a mid range card.

very nice scores! hows the 2003 and aquamark3 scores on that? i'm thinking about getting the Albatron with the ddr 3. ram should run alot cooler! i know the ddr2 was extreme heat!

anyways my 5700 ultra seems to top out at 800mhz core no matter what kind of cooling nore the voltage you put threw it. i hit 800mhz with 1.78 volts, and up to 1.95 volts seems to be ok, but with no aditional gains on clock speeds! (ran it all the way to 2.0 volts, but 2.0 volts is hard on the AGP slot). however you will have to do the overvoltage protection mod, for any thing over 1.54v (2d mode) and 1.72 v(3d mode) seems to triger it!if you dont know about the overvoltage protection you can find details on the mod in my guide!http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.p...hreadid=289593

    http://www.theforumisdown.com/upload...0resistors.jpg

and i run my card at 700/1050 (thats what i keep the card at)every day and night for the last three months At 1.70v not a nitch, play finaly fantasy 11 online unreal 2003 and many other games with the 700/1050! runs just like the day i baught it! nvidia realy has these cards underclocked for the core runs extremly cool!

couple more weeks and ill have my A64 system up and running!

Wow, i was sure that Jason would beat that 24k on his rig. Well, maybe today at night we'll try at least 23k (22100 was done @ unmodded stuff, but i see no reason to publish it).
Good news for me is that his card is @ 702/1175 with phase-change cooling, while mine does 700/1205 with simple water...

Well, let me say i just know something...

Yes good sir, you have my gratitude for the guide. Excellent job! I modded mine using your instructions (only Vgpu yet though). By the way, looks like GDDR-3 version use same Vmem regulator, but voltage is near 2.05V. Gonna try Vmem today, cos 1205 will be not enough to reach MM...
Very impressive card clocks, i wish you luck with ur A64 system - it will be nice to see one more competitor in our challenge.

As for GDDR-3 - it is much cooler than DDR-2, but anyway chips need heatsinks and good airflow to work at proper clocks.

hehe i dont know how many times i got to tell you guys, that supper cooling the core dosen't help a bit on the fx 5700! i run the 800mhz on strate water cooling! and i have run ice water through the system when benching for my 2800+(IT RUNS SUPPER HOT AT @2600MHZ) and no higher clock speeds are obtainable!

as for me doing 3dmark 2001 you probly wont see me mutch there!i dont like it! to system and FSB orianted for me, dosen't give a good card for card comparison. it more of a sytem to system comparison. they should have called it system mark! now 2003 and aqamak3 are a differant story just cause you have a faster pc dosn't mean you'll have the higher score! wich if you are comparing one card to another card, is the way it should be! im still waiting for someone to beat my 3dmark 2003 score of 5833 and my aquamark sore of 47000!

any way be carfull on taking the voltage too high on that DDR3 because i know it runns on less voltage. so i'd say it probly can't handle as mutch voltage iether!i'd be scared to take it much over 2.5 if that. atleast till some one else fries theres first!

3DMark01 is extremely video card limited below about 10k, and even more so around 5k, where if you have a really fast rig, even small clocks on the card give large gains, and it acts more like 3DMark03 does for us now...

As for AM3 that's just your FPS x 1000 so 1 extra frame is 1000 points.
