Jeeze man, that is actually pretty harsh. 2700mhz is insane for some people. It all depends on what perspective you are looking at. Not all of us can afford good ram. Especially ram that will run over 280mhz 1/1

Yeah, it was harsh... anything over 2700 mhz on a 3000+ is a nice accomplishment

Thumbs up What about the mem speed and settings

282 2-2-2 will blow the pants off most stuff on a winnie (unless teh lower timings are crap)
for me 250 2-2-2-5 w/ divider for 10x270 = 9 x 300 2.5-4-3-6 in memtest unbuffered (was just testing out new gskill bh5 there for fun, which is why I know)

GJ. Mardok - OTOH this is lilsi's thread.
Lilsi, tighten the belt err, I mean timings. I agree that 3-5-5-10 is pretty bad. Run the mem slower and tighter, it will help performance (use bigger divider, that's all). (At least get some cheap tccd somewhere if ya can).

/edit: and lilsi, get a coherent signature please somehow a64 and nf7 just don't go together, let alone bh5 @ 3-5-5-10?

yeh, I know, this RAM is pretty shocking, specially for BH5, think I mite invest in some Twinmos BH5 or some OCZ stuff, will do a 34s 1mb SuperPi @ 300 with tighter timings, gotta flash to a new BIOS aswell caiuse this one will only allow +10% on the CPU voltage!!!

I wish my Venice 3200 could do 2.7Ghz at stock volts. Currently have to give it approx 1.6v just to keep 2.6Ghz P95 and SP32mb stable

Read first all AMD forums, then wake yourself up wasting a new thread here. 3000+@2.7GHz is not an extraordinary thing for more than 8 months.

In all fairness he's closer to 2.8ghz. But its true you would have to do something something off the beaten path to be thread worthy. Even a 3000+ Winnie at 3ghz 32M SuperPi stable with 2x1024 memory is getting a collective yawn from the members over on the memory forum.

    Read more about it here.
