Well, I picked mine up on friday, but have been pretty busy, so didn't have much time with them to play and test them.
Plugged them in my DFI SLI-D (tony's 704 bios) and started some initial testing.

It looks like they max out at 240Mhz, with 2.5-3-3-7, 1T timings and 2.7V.
241Mhz with 2.5-4-3-7 looked ok too but that's it.
I couldn't get them higher, no matter the timings or volts.
245Mhz with 3-4-4-8 timings gave me lots of errors in Memtest, so I didn't bother trying to boot into windows and try superpi.

240Mhz with 2.5-3-3-7 timings isn't that bad at all for this value ram.
To bad I couldn't get them much higher though.

I might try some other timings within the next days, but I don't know if it will change a lot.

Oh crap. You're right, sorry about that.
I bought the 2*512GB kit for a friend. He needed some cheap ram so I got those while I bought the 1Gb sticks.

i was thinking of the serial numbers close to yours.
Andre Yang and you both have 051105101xxxxx and they overclock great.

i have from newegg(which is probably quicker on batches)
    the s/n is 05110510223869

so maybe thats why. and teh guy above me got his locally which stock earlier sticks due to less demand.

    galadar :

235 with 2.5-3-3-7 is pretty good for this cheap ram.
Remember that they're value ram, way cheaper than the HS, HX, HZ and ZX series.
They're rated to run at 200Mhz with moderate 3-4-4-8 timings.
So we might consider ourselfs lucky for having them running at 230+ speeds with 2.5-3-3-7. I think that most of them might do around these speeds, with some occasional exceptions like andreyang's chips.

So an RMA for good working sticks is out of the question, IMO. They work as rated, you got even more than expected. So there's nothing to complain about.

    Well,
it's a crapshoot, as usual. Some will clock higher than others, just like cpu's.
    Matter of luck, that's it.
But yeah, guess we get spoiled to much and sometimes expect to much from our hardware.

hey jupiler, nice to see a fellow belgian here
where did you get this ram in belgium ? might try them out as well,
i'd like to be able to run them at 255 at loose timings or around 220 at thighter timings on a A8N-sli from asus. Anyone tested these on this board?

    thanks

I bought them in a store in Aachen, germany.

I'm afraid they won't do 250+Mhz with loose timings, neither of those 1Gb GBNT sticks.
If you wanna run at 250+ speeds, I'd go for the GBHZ kit. They're rated at 250Mhz, 3-4-4-8, and most of them can go higher.

Frankly, I have no idea what might be on the chips.
I'll leave the guessing over to the others.

for 2GBNT and 2GBNS we are not talking about 250+ overclock. it is just a value kit
i had try like another new batch but the max i can got is around 240
for USD150, you can not find a 2GB kit or 2*1GB will does this big overclock.

Here's one. Not very clear though.
It's evening right now and lightning isn't that good.
Will take another one during daylight.
