FUGGER said months ago that it would take Prescott 5.5Ghz to catch up to AMD at the top end...well there it is.

Nice numbers, good to see some stability going along with the extreme clocks..

I know what you meant, although that is easily 5Ghz 3DMark benchable.

But at 5ghz you only have a bus speed of 238 So the EE's still lay the smackdown. But its got to be getting fairly close to the level of the EE with 5ghz... I wish these guys would do some 3d runs

You're right. This should be an ad campaign for Intel. "Prescott... the worlds greatest cpu*!"

*Just add negative 196 degree celsius cooling material.

Well I was just using 5Ghz as a random number...I don't see why 245x21 shouldn't be benchable through 3D, maybe even 250 but that might be pushing it.

I totally agree with SoulBurner on this one.. superPi is a benchmark and is very good bench. Give superPi some respect too. It's okay, it's okay to be jealous.. I'm jealous too, but you still gotta give the man credits.. like what i'm doing. That is a great superPi achievement.

If he can bench 23s of super pi, he can certainly run one game test at a time at maybe 5300

That's what i'm thinking. If they can get these kinds of clocks out of a vid card too...

    250x21 1:1 2-2-2-5 with X800XT @ 800/1300 = 34-35k?

Prescott is fast in Super PI, but slow in PiFast, 3DMark etc. The japs are happy with it, but then it's us that care about more than the Super PI time.

But that is totally insane... I really wonder how many 2.8A's memesama has went through.

Great OC, memesama. A few years back, I hung out at OverclockersOnline, and there was a Japanese guy posting as Doctor something or Professor something, I don't remember exactly. Anyways, he hardly ever posted, but when he did, your mouth would be hanging open, cause he always had some crazy OCs, like memesama.

I wonder how they are able to push over 1.6v on the asus boards, I heard it shuts off at 1.6? Is there any special trick?

    Un PHucking Real

    His 8M record of 4m 23s @5412MHz is also stunning - I'm almost 1min behind him

Would be very interesting to see how such insane clockspeed does in 3DMark car hi and lobbys. I tried my 2.8E @ 4.3GHz or so (~310FSB 5:4) and scored 160FPS in lobby hi. Thats pretty much the only prescott Lobby hi result I've seen so far..

PS. whats the heat output of a 5.5GHz Prescott at 1.65V?
