Anyway, since I can't use anything but default on my ASRock I'll give you a real oc on default volts. Dual Core Opty 170 does 2.5Ghz (10x250) easily and that's on Scythe Ninja with a sub 1000 rpm fan blowing on it and a sub 1000 rpm fan exhausting hot air from the system. Haven't tried higher yet.
I have an Asrock and they will do .05v over the cpu's rated volts. If rated is 1.4 then they will do 1.45.

When I set my 144 to auto/auto in bios, it comes out as 1.36 on cpuz. I've had 4 different optys and 1.36 is the lowest default I've had.

I get it now. But your wrong. Stock Vcore for an Opteron's 144-154 is anywhere from 1.35 to 1.40V.

However, stock Vcore for Opteron's 165-175 is anywhere from 1.30V to 1.35V.

I believe that stock Vcore and 3.3V Vdimm is alright, but any higher and I would bump the Vcore accordingly. Read Tony's sticky about Vcore.

My new 146 CABYE 0540 FPAW does 3.0 GHz at stock volts (which is 1.4 V)

Not bad for a $189 shipped chippy

(that is for short testing only, no 36 hours prime 95 yet)
