I hear ya, the P5W sucks at divider. I will test my pair on friend's P5B to see how far they really go. If it's anything like the orange Ballistix then it should do cas 4 @ 600 and top out cas5 @ 650.

Well my orange Ballistix did 600 @ 4-4-4-12 w/ 2.45v on friend's P5B. And it went up to 650 @ 5-5-5-15 same volt. They were just pi 4mb stable and sometime 8mb stable but still flaky at those speed. These tracers used the same pcb but different week so it might varies. I'm still hoping it will hit those, otherwise I wouldnt have bought these. I know what the orange can do but this was just a steal tho.

ah ok. Big difference between full 32m stable and 4m pi.

My orangies did the same, tracers cant.

    Ram isnt perfect.

I got new GEIL's today. Single sided 1GB sticks with Micron IC's :-D

I know but it likes voltage, and it was cheap (not really cheap, but semi-cheap)

Hopefully this is like early D9 fatbody... otherwise micron just lost its cash cow.

Not sure what D9 this is, the spreader was really stuck on there and i dont want to void the warranty.

    edit:

testing second set of tracers... looks like 580 4-4-4-5 is a go with 2.45Vdimm on p5b-dlx

    VERY impressive for the price.

My RAM just showed up, one set of "HB" and one set of "SZ". Will be testing later.

EDIT: Instead of cross posting, I am only going to post my overclocking results in the designated "Xtreme Bandwidth" thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=124985

I have two HBs and they didn't OC that well. Hopefully the SZ is better.

    Back in stock but @ $375.99 + Shipping....Ouch.

Also, I've done some testing on @ 1120Mhz 4-4-4-4 @ 2.45vdimm (set in BIOS) with a P5B Deluxe. The P5W DH does not like this mem for anything when it comes to 1000Mhz, I tried different dividers with no luck, however it's doing quite well with 800Mhz 3-3-3-4 @ 2.35vdimm. I know it's not my P5W DH because I have some D9GKX and does well with it above 1000Mhz. I do not have my Regular Ballistix PC2-8000 here but I'll get a hold of it and test it in the P5W DH to see if there's a difference. I'm testing it 850Mhz CAS3 with 2.4vdimm (set in BIOS) with the P5W DH, I think with a little more vdimm 900Mhz CAS3 is quite possible.

Additional Comments: I started Playing with CAS 5 and this mem does 1200Mhz no problem. I will not do 1200Mhz CAS4 (1120Mhz was my best) so this ram is good to go in my opinion so if you got in on the buy then you did good. I pesonnaly got 2 kits. Off to Ebay I go because I have a regular Ballistix which does quite well.

    They are now $325.99 - $20 MIR + $4.99 S/H = $310.98 in case you're still something for something decent.
