these TTGI units are good in the higher wattages, but here is a 420W model for $52.

I have three 350w Sparkles running three AMD processors at or above 2400MHz. I could be happier with them.

K Thanks guys , What about pots - dont you need a lot of those to control the voltage for GOOD OCing , and what about PFC PSU.

    What is the PFC?
    (Power Factor Correction)

Many loads are highly inductive, such a lightly loaded motors and illumination transformers and ballasts. You may want to correct the power factor by adding parallel capacitors. You can also add series capacitors to "remove" the effect of leakage inductance that limits the output current.(Jim Lux -2002).

Non-PFC offers around 0.5~0.6 PF (Power Frequency), 40%~50% power lost.

Passive PFC provides 0.70~0.80 PF(Power Frequency), it means 30%~20% power has gone.

    Thanks Guys

The 350w Sparkles from NewEgg have one pot for the +5v/+12v line and they have no problems keeping 5.1v going to my 2400MHz processors.

And I been scoring new 600 watt Robanton PSU's off ebay for 35 to 40 bucks with 15 bucks to ship it. It your patient you can get one for that price in a week to 10 days usually. I have 3 friends that have also done it now too. And these are brand spanking new. I have put them on 3 MB's and the 5 volt line holds very very strong. Never been under 5 on any of my rigs yet anyway. Usually closer to 5.2 if the voltages are close to stock.

Its got 40a on the 3 volt line. Take a look at the rating on the side of yours and see what the total amps on the 3 volt line is. I have found its a quick easy reailty check on the psu's potential.

    The 450W Allied's also have both 3.3v & 5v/12v pots inside

I haven't cracked one open, no need to as the +5v an +12v never swing below 5.0v an 12v with 2.1v to the chip on my 8K3A+.

Your hurting me with 43 shipped.

I'm serious thats a hell of a 600 watt PSU for 100 bucks much less 50 bucks...

And 43 bucks makes me want to cry. The downside of posting this crap is I klnow at least 6 guys currently trying to scarf these things as we speak. So now your bidding against each other.... (grin)

Well I have 1 an one being shipped, so that will be enough for me right now. I will wait for the bidding war to be over or snipe one in the last few minutes if I can find 1 for the right price if I should need another 1.

Use a sniping tool like auction stealer. Makes it much easier.

I looked today an there were quite a few on there with no bids so there is plenty to go around an that is a excellent price for the power supply.
