    2-3 times faster? This generation is about 25% faster than last generation, MAYBE 50% TOPS. a 200-300% increase would be huge, more than last generation, which was the biggest leap in technology since like the voodoo2. Your ATI source isnt totally truthful lol, sorry.

    Actually by September ATI will be mass producing the R500 chip for the xbox, so most likely you'll see the R520 in numbers by then

    ATi is not producing the chips for the Xbox. they only have asmall fab themselves, and it cannot possibly output enough chips. Word is that Microsoft themselves are contracting out the silicon runs, as this is all that's really needed. remember, ATI are just engineers behind the design.


    WHen's the next big tradeshow? That's when R520 SHould be released, but recent news states that ATI is projecting a lower income during the 4th quarter, so there's no way it will be in july. September for "release", probably November for retail

    hopefully this is all one big lie to get our guard down and they will really release the cards during the july-september period

    It isnt. But to counter, ATI will launch its mainstream nex gen chips along with the high end ones
