Either is good...i actually like low latency over high fsb speeds but either will be real fast.
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

I have fired an email off to DFI asking for a tweak in the bios to get EB and Hynix based dimms running a little better.

Im sure by the time retail boards hit you will see better perfomance...so i wouldn't worry.

That's good of DFI to make both boards nearly identical... most users wont know abuot the mod or even have the balls to try... but DFI is obviously looking after the enthusiasts here

    Thanks for the info Bigtoe

Guys my EB does 275fsb on the dfi or so but i have seen as high as 290 on other boards so its only a slight issue...nothing to really worry about. i have spoken with the DFI guru's and they are looking into it ASAP...they have the ram so we should see a bios soon.

Is DFI planning on releasing a nf4 board with a AGP-slot? (and maybe some pci express slots also)

Tony or whoever one last question. Does this board support the boot menu when pressing esc during post like on the NF2 boards. I found this much easier to change boot devices on the fly instead of always going into the bios before and after a change is to be made.

if I'm not mistaken, NForce4 only comes in PCI-Express flavors.

    Nf4 is not Agp compatible

However Dfi told they would release a 939 NF3 After the Nforce4

    Tony,

Can you give us a screen shot of CPUZ motherboard and confirm that the chipset is a3, and not a2 as it seem on the Gigabyte product.

Why in the name off god would they bring hypertransport of 800Mhz to the 939 Platform when it is a socket 754 standard? Move defective silicon for nvidia, to save them money so they don't have to toss it in the bin can?

I don't get it?? I'm obviously missing something here?? Socket 939 Sempron?

no, as far as I can see they just don't want to throw 'em out. And why should they? I mean 800mhz HT vs 1ghz is nothing. So its not like its killing preformance.

Lol, would you take the same stand if this was your memory speed we were talking about?

Don't forget we are talking a duplex link here....400 Mhz on the way side, and no I don't like the idea of communicating with my processor at 800 MHZx 2 when it can do 1000 x 2!

    no I wouldn't, but 3x vs 4x isn't that big of difference and 5x vs 4x isn't that big of a difference.

According to my calculator it is 400Mhz...any which way u look at it. AMD did not design a chip to communicate on an HT of 1000 Mhs just for my blue eyes!

Moot point, just want confirmation that A03 is used on DFI nforce 4 please
(if only ATI had a solid chipset out...arrggggghhh)

I think my next mem will be VX. Only one prob. My old Enermax 430W doesn't allow 3.3V rail increase so I'll pray for the new mobo to do it well from the 5v rail. If not, then I'll check for a guide to mod the psu and if can't (it would be my first attempt with a vmod) I'll get a booster.

These PRE-DFI posts with bigtoe and OPP are maybe more addictive than a seasson of 24 (Jack Bauer) lol

    Bigtoe

I just got my DFI SLI-DR.
Solid board, Nice and thick heavyduty PCB

I have things to do today but I want to hook the board up to my Cascade tonight first thing.

My Question is, which one of these caps do I solder to for the 3.3V mem mod? I want it done before I fire up the board.

    Thanks.
