$410 is steep, but I don't think it'll go much lower. AMD's official price on the xp 2800 is $399, but with demand of xp2600, 2700 and 2800 I think supply and demand will dictate the stiff price. Now look out for this! Within 2 weeks I think
xp2400 $169
xp2600 $249
xp2700 $299
xp2800 $399
Do you think these will overclock any higher than the aiugb 2700's?
They're going up before down. $420 now. It appears supply and demand are already at work.

If they are the same new stepping aiugb, I bet they won't be much faster than the newer 2400 and 2600 chips. If they have a different stepping, they may be something to keep an eye out for. My guess is the new stepping was bulit for the 2800+ and that is why we are seeing 42-44 weeks chips with the newer steppings filtering in. They are FINALLY putting out new processors. I'm still waiting it out for the Barton core. I would love to play with a 2400+ but I just can't do it right now.
I heard somewher that they would use aiugb through 2900 and 3000+'s Dec/Jan as well.

Damn... AMD just kicked her into o/d and hit the nitrous.

I ordered one while I was looking for a 2700+. Got lucky I guess.
