its seasonic psu should be capable of that. psu might be faulty. you can borrow same rated psu just to check if its does the same thing. just to rectify where the problem is........

I looking to get a FSP BoosterX 450 W and run two GPU's on the two 8 pin connectors. That would offload up to 300W from the SEASONIC onto the BoosterX. The issue is the seller wanted $299... I got him to lower the price to $99 but that's a lot of money to "test" out the theory.
Big issue is, if I get a new PSU, it has to be the same length or shorter. With a 240mm rad mounted on the bottom of the case, I have about 1mm space between the PSU and radiator.
