    the Monster is here

    nice performance and beat R9 290X silent 15%-17% / R9 290X Uber 9%-12% + GTX 780Ti slower than GTX 690 9%! very close Performance
    Fantastic overclocking
    noise/Temperatures/Power Consumption= very good

    +

GTX 780 Ti + Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag+ Batman: Arkham Origins+ Splinter Cell: Blacklist +shaves up to $100 off an NVIDIA Shield= $700 not bad

    hardwarecanucks

Another benefit of buying the GTX 780 Ti right now is the game bundle NVIDIA is offering. Splinter Cell Blacklist may be a slightly older title but Assassins Creed IV Black Flag and Batman Arkham City are both triple-a games plus there?s a $100 coupon for SHIELD. Granted, the actual ?value? of these additions is somewhat temporary and the $100 discount for SHIELD is pointless for anyone who doesn?t want NVIDIA?s portable gaming device but they still represent more than what AMD is offering right now.

The GTX 780 Ti is everything we expected and more. It is extremely fast, consumes less power than the R9 290X and remains whisper quiet regardless of how much load you put it under. That?s a noteworthy achievement for NVIDIA in the face of an odd push towards justifying overly loud acoustics in favor of performance. Currently, there isn?t a better card available for gamers who don?t want to buy a water block or custom heatsink to ensure optimal framerates.

Not bad with 18% more performance when overclocked either.
Really there is so much you can do if you were looking for a vga right now.

Hopefully we will be able to overvolt to 1.3V+ these like the GTX780 and Titan reference cards. Definitely buying one either way.

Wish they upped the DP ratio, but overall, nothing unexpected. Nice card, going to be even nicer in Lightning flavour. :-)

On a side note, prices keep climbing towards $1000 mark...

However while GTX Titan and GTX 780 products currently contain a mix of the old and new revisions as NVIDIA completes the change-over, GTX 780 Ti will be B1 (and only B1) right out the door.
Thats a nice surprise in light of some peoples comments earlier.

Faster than 290x too bad nvidia couldnt do this at 600$ ... 650$ would put it 50$ more than lightning 290x but at 700$ its pricey. Dont think this card is gonna set the sales charts on fire 290 just makes anything more expensive look real bad on price/performance.

For about 8% faster card they want 28% more moneyz, although cooler is better and power consumption is lower about 5-20W (in games).
All in all a good product, however for this amount of money they could not skimp on the memory, 6GB would be it.

290 only makes something look bad once its on a aftermarket cooler on the same prices, because as it is now, the card is unusable unless you are hearing impaired or on water. And if u want to spend 50? on a aftermarket cooler, thats on GTX 780 price ranges, and I for one would choose 780 over 290 given similar prices, but thats just me.

What this launch made abundantly clear is, just how crappy R290/X cooler is.

After OC 780Ti consumes almost 20W more power than 290X (which is to be expected)

Yet it manages to stay cooler and be considerably quieter, even tho it has to dissipate more heat.

Congrats Nvidia you did it, competition is great.

On Oct. 21 couple days before the R9 290X real reviews and way before any GTX 780 Ti reviews I said what card I'm going to buy.
    Based on this:
1.) best performing card in 4K (for my next 50 inch TV monitor, provided it's 60Hz)
    2.) lower price,
3.) if 1 & 2 is going to be close to equal I will prefer too support AMD
I checked the AnandTech 4K review, the R9 290X is faster in 5 games, the GTX 780 Ti is faster in 4 games. The avg frame speed was so close I'm going to call it tie.

The reason there is not much difference in performance is, one card for 4K gaming is not enough.
In SLI vs Crossfire the R9 290x is faster in every game in the AnandTech review, so for me it's very easy decision what I'm going to buy and save $300 on top of it. Well I will have to invest some money for custom cooling so it's going to be only $150 I save for faster cards, specifically for my use.

I know some people will argue there is not much 4K gaming right now, true but some 3 monitors configs have even higher resolution than 4K.

I did not see any R9 290 crossfire reviews yet, so I wonder how this $600 less set-up than GTX 780 Ti SLI is going to compete in 4k or 3 monitors config.

And the # of people running 3-monitor configs with higher-than-4K resolution total is about the same as the count-it-on-one-hand number running 4K 60hz on most enthusiast forums . It's still wholly irrelevant and will remain so until significantly less expensive panels start hitting the market. Seiki is reportedly planning to launch a 4k 60hz 39" TV/monitor with HDMI 2.0 in Q2 2014, but even if it's "only" $700-1000 that's still not going to make a huge dent but at least then I could buy the argument it has importance for top-end video cards... heck look at 2560 resolutions and how only with the sub-$300 Korean panels etc. has the market come down a lot and it's become a much more common gaming resolution.

nobody here has near the information necessary to even begin speculating on the number of people who actually use 3 monitor setups.

I believe the problem with the 780 Ti SLI is throttling (just like at [H]). No one should be surprised by that when testing 83?C temp target vs 95?C temp target. 780 Ti SLI and 290X CF Uber mode should be quite on par if the temperature allowance is the same on both setups.
Unfortunately, no reviewer investigates this further -> incompetence.

I have Titan SLI and if you want, I can show you how excellent it scales in 4K (via downsampling). I have Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Alan Wake, Metro 2033, Sleeping Dogs, Witcher 2...
You will be surprised how different these values will be compared to those reviews at [H] and AT.
