MSI Launches Voice Activated Motherboards - BSN*

For instance, to turn the computer on, user needs to say "MSI Big Bang Power On", and to shut it down the user only needs to say "Power Off MSI Big Bang" (in case of MSI's Big Bang motherboard). You can also "Open Control Panel", "Open Browser" and customize the commands. For instance, you can start the computer with a customized theme such as "Open thyself Sesame" or "Warp One Engage", but bear in mind that shutting the computer down will require a reverse order of words (hence the MSI Big Bang Power On - Power Off MSI Big bang).

All in all, this is one genuinely new feature and with the MSI promising a "more than affordable price", sounds like a good thing to have.

+1, why not bundle with better and decent voice dictation program rather than this kinda crapware.

This will only adding up the cost at the wrong place instead of improving the mobo's component or other related part.

I disagree. You are on an enthuiast computer forum. Gimmick could be used to describe case windows, case lighting, motherboard backlit logos etc etc - but not this idea. It is a natural and expected evolution for computers. You can already voice control the power up/down of several car devices, so why not a computer. Most of us use several of them per day.

Personally, I have my PC in a cupboard or under the bed. If I can just turn it on and off by voice - big win for me.

So you buy a computer case with a lock on the front door and padlock to stop ppl being able to turn it off or tamper with it,

And all you gotta say to this is Power Off MSI Big Bang, hope this can be disabled. imagine the fun you could have at a benching session. someones bound to say it for a laugh.

because my case is down by the side and has a door i bought myself a Sharkoon PC Jumpstart which i have on my desk.

Very handy for turning my PC on and plugging in USB devices quickly and easily.

"big bang activate!" "Big bang overclock!" "big bang blow up!" Why can't you just say turn on, or turn off, or somthing other than MSI Big bang

Rather obvious reason for that, they assume you are going to show it to your friends, so asking you to say the product name out loud = free marketing
