I landed a few hours ago, and have nothing to do.

Is there anything exciting going on? I'm probably going to grab my badges in a little while and stroll around.

...Says must register online but registration is closed ? Have all the places filled up already or it will reopen at 5pm today again? I wasn't sure that I can make it but I ended up being here in town and wouldn't mind participating...

I'm pretty sure you can register at Caesars main Poker room.
Be there at 5pm with $20.00 in hand.

No car, just a bus pass.

I was thinking about renting a Z06 and doing some heaters in the desert. Not sure what the heater policy is on rentals, but they charge something like $500 a day, so they should be included.

I don't think I'd do that here. The Las Vegas cops are different than elsewhere. They shoot you first and then ask questions and I'm serious, you get stopped out here you stick your hands on the dashboard and don't move.
They kill more people here than happens in NYC that's SIX times the size..

Nothing to do in Vegas during CES
Grab a taxi and head over to the Stratosphere and go to the top and jump on a few rides

Last time I was there for CES I tried to drive over and man it was so hard to find a parking place. It's far better to take a buss imo

Well, I'm sorry guys... some stuff has come up which requires my presence this evening and tomorrow morning. My original plan was to drive out to Vegas today (since I'm only about 4 hours away now), but it looks like this year is my combo breaker (I've been attending since, what, 2008?).

If we registered already online, do we still need to show up at 5? Or can we just show up when the tournie starts?

What happens if were not sure if we registered? I know I did, but I'm not sure if 'Ryan' did... I registered another guy that won't be showing, can he just use that name?

When do we show up then?

    Same crap every year...

Someone booked me for a classy dinner at 6. Not sure if i'm going to be out by 7:15... I'll see what happens.

Is showing up late a no-go I assume?

Side note: If anything is planned for friday, I'm going to the Engadget Wrap-Up podcast at 5. Try and not make it happen around then...

Listen: You got to get your priorities straight. Eating you can do anytime, this happens just once.
    OR: Plan B
Eat fast or grab a doggy bag..

Now if it was me and your pre registered I'd tell the waiter your pushing time, eat fast and get both accomplished.
