    Quick Monitor Question

Hey guys, Im looking to buy a new widescreen monitor and I just have a quick question. Currently, my rig can output between 80-120fps on 1920x1080 when gaming. What monitor would you suggest so that I can visually see this FPS that my video card is outputting? I know that many monitors have refresh rates between 60-75Hz and I hate to see only 60-75fps if my video card is capable of generating more. Thanks!

id say stick with the same resolution
newer games will push it harder, and you can just up the image quality on the game until your around 60fps

no 120fps monitors really stuck out as being awesome for their price yet
and i dont know of any that run at anything other than 60 or 120, so i think you might be mixing up that 75hz with something else.

Thanks for your reply.. I feel questions came out as I was reading these replies..

    1. If i get a 120hz monitor, will it output TRUE 120fps? (ie. it doesnt add in frames to smooth out the gameplay like what modern 120hz LCD TV's are currently doing)

    2. If I use a HDMI cable, would that be better than a dual link DVI cable?

    3. So for a 120Hz monitor, does it only output 60Hz or 120Hz? Does it generate anything in between?

    4. Whats the point of having a fast graphics card for games when everything is capped by the refresh rate of the monitor? I can have the fastest video card that can output 150fps but the monitor caps out at 75fps..
