D1 for A is like the M0 for C, its OC better coze it was first made to be a higher-end and they only down clock-it so they will OC easily at the principal made for(D1 was for a 2.4C i think) and then it starts to OC like a normal 2.4.

    A modded duron at 2600mhz will give that 3.6 p4 a good run..... remember thats a "A" chip and not a "C"......

    OK how about this

1 ASUS 266-d, dual AMD board $105 on ebay. Pair of 1700xp Chips locked in @ 2.26ghz each. $45 each when i got them new dltc's 1.5v, "should of bought 50 of them!!!, 1 512 stick of mushkin 2100 $59 from the bargin bin on newegg.

$254. Enough said. Almost double your scores!!! And almost $100 less!!! guess i could add another stick of ram for a gig and still be under no problem.

2 SVC g69 $6 heatsinks, this is my F@H speed 24/7 stable no errors, they are good up 2 2350mhz each for benching!! Dont feel like restarting and upping the volts. And it's in my basement, Remote desktop.

But im sure this benchie is enough to be king of the budget!!!

That is a sweet 2.0a you have though. 3.6ghz is a hell of a record for it. I couldnt get my best 2.0 over 3.2ghz even in my vapo, with more volts than most of you like

Duallie boards are very scarce on ebay, now, just like good DLTC 1700+'s everywhere else!!! This rig Has been F@H for a year now. It's paid it's way!!!

I've got a pair of 2400+ thortons that are stable @ 2400mhz each, but the dam board doesnt like them. And since it's a 266board, anything above 255fsb is shady.

Locked chips suck now. I was thinking about a pair of barton upgrades for it. But i'd have to lock the multi in @ 17 or higher.

Oh well I think it will serve pretty good for a while to come.

I just threw together a rig for 500 dollars with shipping at newegg and for the price its a beast IMO. Full setup. 1.4 duron 64 meg Ti200 a7n8x copper HSF 2*256 PC3000 KHX xdreamer II case with 350 watt PSU a lite on cd drive and a 40 gig 8 meg cache WD HDD. Only thing I forgot was case fans :|

Oh well its still pretty sick for the price IMO... The mobo/cpu/ram combo was only like 230 :O

To bad all the chips are locked now

Me is cheater i guess, ! Built this rig almost a year ago when i was a Junkie on F@H. But still am!!!!

I do have another $45 Dltc here, that will do a little over 2500mhz on air, A cheap Biostar $39 refurb Biostar M7nCG400, and Some $45 Winbond PC3700

Cant beat my duallie rig, but i think i might give that P4 a little run for the money. for $150!!!!

matter of fact, the chips doing nothing on my desk, might as well give it a shot tonight!!
