I can't speak for all cards, but my KFA you can flash any BIOS you want to but it doesn't seem to "apply" the BIOS properly.. could just be nvflash not being quite up to speed yet.

I tried to flash my GTX460 1G card with the Zotac GTX460 1G bios with nvflash 5.95 for windows, and got a warning.

WARNING: FIRMWARE IMAGE PCI SUBSYSTEM ID (19DA.2166) DOES NOT MATCH ADAPTER PCI SUBSYSTEM ID (7377.0000).
PLEASE PRESS Y TO CONFIRM TE OVERRIDE OF PCI SUBSYSTEM ID'S.

    Is this correct ???

If i want to use the dos version of nvflash...which one should i use.
The latest one i found was version 5.77.

Hey Ket gigabyte has released a new bios for their GTX460 1GBOC which has the unlocked fan controller so you can choose from 40% to 100%.
Its called the F2 bios and the Gigabyte card owners(like me) can flash the bios with their tool @BIOS and this bios:

    http://www.2shared.com/file/riOUOFm6/GV-N460OC-1GI.html

So we don't have to flash in dos.

A little side note on this bios the fan speed is the fastest at 93%, at all the percentages above this it goes a little bit slower.

@Ket - m8 can u please update the 1st post with all the bioses in this thread i think u already did that 1nce, i cannot differenciate b/w 1gb and 768 bios out there.

also can u tell me what changes you are making with all these bioses or ur putting all these as original without any change or just with the change in voltage limit from 1087 to 1212?

    here m confused a lil....:| :P

btw .....i just bought POV 1gb normal card when i comes i will provide u mine hope it comes out a golden 1 :p

EDIT1 : -- 2D / blueray voltage 1v (for those who want to set their own clocks)

how one will set their own clock?? i mean yea afterburner will do but it will change the 3d voltage only naa not the 2d? if i want to lower down the 2d voltage then what all i have to so? here i guess the base is 1.1v as u already crossed the 1087 limit as per my understanding. again m confues lol care to explain please

2D will be 1.000v, 3D will be 1.1v. It will only change between those 2 voltages depending on what you are doing. You can set clocks through afterburner, precision etc, however voltages will be as depicted above for 2D/3D. Voltage limit is also raised meaning you can go higher through software if you like, however, not lower.

    Ket,

Did you get my colorful GTX460 1GB ?

    I will post it again

I renamed the .bin file to .zip, so this is NOT a compressed file.
Could you unlock it for me ??

Has anyone had any experience with different bios producing different overclocking results or are they all too similar in timings and revisions?

Hey guys , what are you guys using to consider stable please? You have to really torture your cards to be 100% stable , I perfer Vantage . You can download the program and get a free run to see how stable you really are . There should be no tearing or artifacts when running the test .

Ek waterblocks I use all their waterblocks for my whole setup . I have everything in a custom tj07 case , but I change parts so often that I'm doing a custom techbench , so much easier to swap things out lol .
