    Those are some really impressive numbers too Lightman :O Do a longer test so you can see your actual average:

    @echo off
    if "%1" == "" goto error1
    igrargpu.exe /a:b /c:a /min:1 /max:7 test.rar
    goto end
    :error1
    echo Need file name
    :end
    Will do when I get back home!

    PS. I was surprised as well that my card can do that

    I'll run this when I get home. Seriously lightman

    If you had 4 of those going you could crack a 10 char password (a-z, 0-9) in... 3000 years!

    Much better than CPUs definitely...

    I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

    Or get 12000 GPU's and you're down to 1 year

    It went up to 68% and then my computer frozen ... My card don't like memory clocks above 1150MHz

    Still, 11000+ passwords per second is quite OK

    Neat little app but it seems to really hit the pc hard. Mine actually drags something awful when trying to run it @ igrargpu.exe /a:b /c:s /min:1 /max:4 myrar.rar. Seems to be using up all my ram as in all 6gig during the test.

    Also need a quick script to run it on 2 280's also. Any suggestions on the script would be nice.

    this works good, on small files only

    Agreed, i wasted like 19 hours trying to break a 3 letter password file that i made. I went though 19 hours with every setting they had and it found nothing. And this was with a ati 5870 also. The idea is good but it just doesn't work great. Hopefully they will be able to tweak it or something. Really liked the idea but it just doesn't work!

    What I was wondering is, if just a few thousand passwords are verified against a RAR archive, what is the use of it? Trying to bruteforce a RAR archive is practically useless. But GPU password bruteforcing is extremely effective on GPUs, especially on Radeons. My 5770 does 3.3+ billion NTLM passwords.

    Not that useful for me, takes forever above 5 chars. But it's a fun way to bench gpus hehe.
    Overclocking, it's a lifestyle
