That is not as popular here, but I still like to see what others are running on their system.

I seem to respect opinions more, from a guy reporting on issue with the card he runs.

Guys running on a red or green card, posting on the other in a negative way, I take with much more caution.

Anyway, I wish more would list their system specs.

If I would list my system specs on all the rigs I run, you'd have to scroll for a minute after every post I make

Seriously though, my impression is that most people are listing at least some of their specs. I just wish more would use the [size=1] tag

I personally find it annoying when everybody has their specs showing, down to the last little quarter-inch of tubing, when half of it is unnecessary. I can't help but feel like half of it is a penis-measuring contest. I just have the three specs that I think are of any importance, I removed the rest a while back. This could have to do with declining technical interest though, I've found myself giving less and less of a damn nowadays. Photography has clearly overtaken computers by me and my time on this forum has decreased too, which not only has to do with change of interests, but that's another story.

    Each to his own.

I do not think you really need to list every rig. Listing the main rig that you use every day is more than enough.

I turned sigs off, partly because of people listing their rigs.

I feel there's something wrong when 90% of the screen is covered by sigs in most threads. Just listing rig(s) seems particularly pointless, as I doubt many people care. A better solution, IMO, would be to move rigs over to a link/mouse-over pop-up/etc in the area around the avatar.

I have seen a few forums with that setup. That would work fine as well and keep the sigs a little more empty

not to sound like a snob, but I took mine down because I was sick of being pm'ed asking for bios templates. Not that I have the golden values, but it happened enough for me to just say 'eff it'.

I can understand that, though they might have had one or the other before the current opposite as well...

But what about people like me who have both?

I'm with you on that, size=1 keeps it readable but it doesn't take that much space, so it's the perfect solution in my opinion.

On topic, I like to see what people are using!

actually.. i'd prefer if we all got given a page for our own use, but more so to list specs etc of as many rigs as we like, that way there is alllll the info anyone would want to see, but at the same time its out of the way in threads.. big ask tho

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a sig rig form to standardize things.

Would rather not, clutters up the threads enough as it is. I'd prefer everyone had something cooler like unicorn flags and awesome quotes about pirates. I may be biased..

I like it when folks have links to a work log if they have one. I think people's preferences for signatures (or not) depends on where their interests lie. Never have cared for really large signatures.

i dislike being labeled for owning a particular product. yeah, it happens. seeing a lot of i7's actually made me get one though.distributed computing banners are always welcomed . i used to think they didnt matter but thats how a lot of people end up joining teams. a lot of people stick to only a couple of sections so you gotta go after them.

I would have to keep updating it so I just usually list what I am testing - as I would have a laundry list of things to update or change every day LOL

Signatures can be misleading without something. It's why I like to add pics, CPU-Z etc. People do react differently with different signatures. It's kind of funny actually.

I used to have my rig in my sig but I havent really been messing with it so whats the point? I like using my signature for other purposes anyway. Its an expression of me, people know me before I even open my mouth (or type... ),

As long as it does not turn into the evga forums, I am fine. That place turned into an ad market in everyone's post b/c of all the pretty sigs made. It's annoying as hell.

Agreed. Sigs with links to logs are great or small text with their system info on it... As long as it's kept pretty small and doesn't get in the way much...
