    Haven't tried 0007 yet still on 0601. Asus did say 0007 will never be made public so it could be just a alpha/test bios ?

    Can you post another picture and include the Mainboard tab in CPU-Z so it is 100% obvious that you are using 0007. I don't doubt you but I would like to have something I can send to Asus so they have no doubts.

    Can you also run a longer log file at 100% load. Maybe some Prime95 Small FFTs for a minute if that is sufficient load to cause throttling. Once again your results are obvious to me but I want them to be obvious to the guys in the white coats.

    Can you also download the latest version of i7 Turbo version 6.3? It has one minor bug fix but it shouldn't make any difference in your results.

    Thanks enkie. I'll forward your data to JJ at Asus and wait for a reply. The log file clearly shows that your computer is not able to maintain a full turbo 21.000 multiplier while running Prime when using bios 0007. It is rapidly cycling between 21.0 and 20.0 with the average being about 20.320.

    When i7 Turbo shows a Calculated turbo multiplier that ends in .320, that means the +1 Turbo is engaged approximately 32% of the time and not engaged like it should be the other 68% of the time. Obviously we're hoping to see it engaged 100% of the time and reporting a constant 21.000.

    In the turbo download, I prefer using i7 Turbo V8. It shows the calculated multiplier for all 8 threads. Your standard deviation was very low which confirms that all 8 threads are throttling the same amount.

    Had a few liters LN2 left and decided to give it a go on the P6T6. It handles it very wel, beginning to love this board A little bit higher bclk is the only thing that it lacks compared to me Classified. Coldbug -135 & coldboot -115. Looking forward to new official bios with full Xeon support

    I've had this awesome board since it came out...I always told people it's a great performer and would only get better but most laughed because it has the NF200 chip on it. I finally got around to installing my D0 CPU on it and my G.Skill memory just died (one stick anyway)! I ordered cheaper CL9 memory as a replacement and will start overclocking again. I love how easy it is to use this board. I almost always get into windows regardless of how high I go in the BIOS.

    Has anyone used the cheaper CL9 kits out there on this board? I ordered the Kingston 6gb kit with fan and really hope it works out well.

    Another thing I noticed with this board is that it never has a problem runing the 20x multi. I always had issues with my DFI board and Gigabyte board when using the 20x multi with this D0 CPU regardless of how much juice I threw at it....but on the Revolution, it works flawlessly.

    thanks guys

    nice results loco and hazzan

    Ace, i'm using cheap but nice OCZ DDR3-1333 Platinum Animal series http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=18780. No probs using 20x multi on all my i7 920/w3520 cpus on either DFI UT X58 or this Asus board

    My first hour messing around with CAS8 overclocking with OCZ3P1333LVA6GK 'Animal' and was a walk in a park to pull off single Super Pi 32M @DDR3-1954Mhz and validation @DD3-1997Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T all at same 1.70v vdimm voltage.

    @DD3-1997Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.70v

    @DD3-1954Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.70v

    DDR3-2232MHz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.84v

    Starting to get a better understanding of P6T6 WS Revolution board, managed to pull off higher cpuz validation of DDR3-2232Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T and Super Pi 1M @DDR3-2160Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T both at 1.84v with CPU VTT (QPI/DRAM) of 1.65v.

    OCZ3P1333LVA6GK 'Animals' CAS8 Overclocking continued....

    Improved on previous max 8-8-8-24 1T clocks of DDR3-1997Mhz validation and DDR3-1954Mhz for Super Pi 32M at 1.70v. Managed validation @DDR3-2080Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.76v and Super Pi 32M @DDR3-1990Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.76v (seems 200bclk with DDR3-2000Mhz gets 5-10 errors on test #5 loop in memtest86+ v2.11).

    Interesting thing is BACK To BACK CAS# Delay subtiming optimal values for this clock are either 4 or 8. AUTO, 6, and 10 result in less stability for these memory modules.

    @DDR3-2080Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.76v

    Last result was with 0007 bios (another not for public sharing bios so can't share) - Asus are working on new public bioses so it's just wait and see.

    Juan Jose Guerrero from Asus has released beta bios 0001 for the Asus P6T6 WS Revolution. It is dated August 14, 2009 and should fix turbo throttling issues.
    Asus does not intend to release this special bios through their website.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    WARNING:This is a beta bios for the Asus P6T6 WS Revolution.

    This bios will disable the CPU Turbo power limit.

    The Turbo power limit is Intel's original spec to protect the CPU & VRM.

    Using this bios will keep turbo mode working even when the CPU is overloading which may affect the life of your CPU/VRM/motherboard.

    Installing this bios means that you, the user, accepts any and all liability if anything goes wrong and may void your warranty.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    i7 Turbo has been updated to version 6.5 and is the most accurate way to monitor that your CPU multiplier on your Core i7-920 is locked on 21.000 like it should be at full load when Turbo is engaged. Avoid using HW Monitor, Everest and RealTemp 3.00 when testing. CPU-Z and RealTemp 3.30 or Core Temp 0.99.5 should be fine.

    Someone with direct contact to Asus bios engeer would ask when do they make those X58 motherboard bioses unlocked so they support CPU-Tweaker.

    Thanks Unclewebb. Also, just like to add that I always use the RivaTuner plugin for Real Temp. Its real handy.

    Funny thing. About a week ago I was messing with my oc in my other user that I have setup to run minor things. I was using TurboV to move bclk from 200 to 205, and then to 210. It got unstable at 210 and backed down to 205. I can't remember if it was before or after I went back to 205, but I opened up CPU Tweaker 1.2 and I was able to change memory timings. Though I never attempted changing them and havn't figured out since how to reproduce it. Wish I knew what happened.

    Has anyone tried bios 0001 yet and checked for turbo throttling? JJ from Asus needs to get some feedback so they can work on special bios versions for the other P6T boards.

    Asus is willing to help out the Xtreme users at XS but they need some feedback so post some numbers. Thanks.

    edit:

    Very promising start indeed using 4Ghz Prime95 benchmark as a guide to a cpu's potential. This Xeon W3540 3845B010 gem batch managed to do 4Ghz at 1.160v idle / 1.168v load with 52-57C load temps which is the best LGA1366 cpu i have experienced just edging out my Xeon W3520 3845A935 gem batch which did 4Ghz at 1.184v load with 57-60C load temps with exact same cooling EK Supreme LT / TFC480 / MCP655 H20.

    Promising start with oc'ing 4378Mhz at 1.272v and 4487mhz at 1.320v for Super Pi 32M.

    @4378Mhz at 1.272v

    @4487Mhz at 1.320v

    Seem to have a problem with booting into windows at >4600Mhz HT enabled but seems okay booting under 4600Mhz and then using either TurboV or setFSB to bump BCLK and cpu clock up. Going to try other cpu multipliers to make sure.

    Swapped out my OCZ Platinum 1333 Animals for first time use of Corsair Dominator GT 2000C7 kit on Asus P6T6 WS Revolution. Not bad for quick dial in settings with auto set tRFC value. Fast 1M & 32M Super Pi efficiency though!

    For those asking, I'm using 0007 beta bios for this board. I've uploaded and included Asus P6T6 WS Revolution 0601 beta, 0007 beta and 0001 beta bioses here http://rapidshare.com/files/27282574...llbetabios.zip (use at your own risk).

    With 6GB Corsair Dominator GT 2000 7-8-7-20 kit of memory I never got to try looser 8-9-8-x timings much with DFI UT X58-T3EH8. So now on Asus P6T6 WS Revolution, will try 8-9-8-22 2T timings to see how much further I can push memory.

    System:

    Max Validation @DDR3-2280Mhz 8-9-8-22 2T at 1.90v

    Used TurboV to push mem to DDR3-2320Mhz but couldn't save the CPUZ Validation files heh. Will try again for next session

    QPI/DRAM (Uncore = CPU VTT) = 1.650v
    Uncore frequency = 4560Mhz

    Max Super Pi 1M @DDR3-2268Mhz 8-9-8-22 2T at 1.90v

    QPI/DRAM (Uncore = CPU VTT) = 1.6375v

    Max Super Pi 32M @DDR3-2220Mhz 8-9-8-22 2T at 1.90v

    QPI/DRAM (Uncore = CPU VTT) = 1.6375v
