I got all my new stuff in the box last night. I now have a phenom II 945 c3, 2 sticks gskill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK, and 2 sticks gskill F2-8500CL5D-2GBPK, 6gb total. All I did was set the ram speed to 1066 and unganged in bios and left everything else to auto (cpu, ram,nb, ect) and I have been running a couple of instances of prime95 for 7 hours now. I guess I got lucky!

If you look through something like AMD overdrive you will notice that the board will overvolt certain areas.

IIRC the RAM will probably be fed 2.1 volts for the 1066 divider if everything is on auto. Also i wouldnt be surprised if its overvolted the CPU-Nb as well

OK n/m. I just checked with memtest and it listed the mem running at timings 8-7-7-20. I tried to lower it but the board wouldn't boot. I am just going to run it at 800mhz for now. I had gotten a couple of errors with memtest and with the linux console version "memtester". I am linux only over here so I don't have all the fancy testing gismos :p

Hmm looks like ive lost 4gb of OCZ reaper running at 1090 4-4-4-12 at 2.3 volts :S

Not too impressed as i have had to go back to some FlexXLCs that can only do 833 at 3-4-4-12 :S

Ever know why a motherboard wont boot with RAM even though i have cleared BIOS with powersupply unplugged and battery removed?

I recently got a Phenom II 945, as per my sig, and I'm having a few issues. I'm hitting a base clock wall at around 255Mhz and I don't know which voltage I'm supposed to mess with in order to go higher. They're all on auto at the moment, except for the CPU, which is at 1.45V. I know for sure it's the base clock that's limiting me cuz I've tried stress testing with the multipliers for all the other components lowered e.g. HT/NB/RAM. The other issue I'm having is that this board looks to be capped at 1.45V for the CPU. Does anyone know of a remedy for that?

    Thanks everyone!

    Hey!

What are the best 3 BIOSes that you prefer to use on this motherboard to OC? (my cpu is AMD Phenom 9950BE).

for that CPU stay away from the newer bios with CPU microcode upgrade / I found the best to be 1102,1001 , with 955BE and 9850BE

well I seem to have lost performance in some tests with CPU perf loss of around 10-15% in some sythetic tests depending on the level of overclock. Hard to repeat now as I cannot go back. But its definitely there imo. seems to affect NB perf 9850BE & 955BE C2.

But the newer bios do seem more stable.
