    BSoD on stock settings

I cannot for the life of me get vista 64 to boot with 2 2gb G.Skill sticks installed.

    I can run just fine with 1 stick. The RAM is G.Skill 1600 1.90v 7-7-7-18. I have a Striker II Extreme running 0704 (and I tried 0801). The CPU is a Q9450, and I have 2 Raptor-X drives in Raid 0.

    My settings are:

If anyone can help me get this thing to boot, you will seriously make my weekend. I am so tired of messing with these settings. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to boot. I get my BSoD upon startup after the first reboot, after installation.

If I install with 1 stick, and get it all setup, once I put 2 sticks in, it BSoD's on boot again.

I believe it is saying: "Windows has shut down to prevent damage." or something like that.

    Switch to the white slots.
And perform a full CMOS reset ( unplug the power supply, remove the bios battery for 1 min ).
It might be a memory compatibility issue.

    Corsair is a good choice.
However compatibility issues always existed, every single RAM "manufacturer" has at least one kit that's incompatible with a specific board.
It can happen... it's not easy to test every single kit with every motherboard out there.

I'll give you some "really safe" settings later to try.

That doesn't sound good at all.
Try with only one DIMM ( RAM ), on the rightmost DIMM slot.

    Not really.
The "slackier" memory timings don't hurt your performance apart from "synthetic benchmarks".
Games, audio/video authoring/encoding, Office, 3D/CAD, perform the same.

tRFC = Set it to 80 ( and after saving and exiting the BIOS, get back into the BIOS and check if under the "Current" line it's showing tRFC at 80, if not set the setting to Auto )

btw 80 was not possible to i have set it to auto.(it is running 60)

lets just hope it can run with 2 stick of ram as well

i have been looking abit around all day on all kind of forums, and have now tryed to trun the up the Memory Voltage to 1.74V, so far so good. it have been able to make 6 loop of test 5 so far and still running.

btw is it safe to run it with 1,74v? or do they take damage?

... update: well it freez on the 12th pass so not yet fully stable but getting close. do you think turning the V more up will help or is there something els that is better to try?.(while running the 12 loops no errors was found)

When Updating to Nforce v15 drivers on a Newly Installed Windows Vista, The Lockups seem to happen alot less often. But I still get them every now and then.
