Waiting for people to start raving on how "amazing" the GTR is
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

Its so rigged. A twin turbo Nissan versus a non turbocharged Porsche and a non turbocharged BMW. I wonder why they didn't pit it against the GT2, never mind the next GT2 X50, or the twin turbo V10 Audi. They wouldn't pit the Nissan against the best of Germany. I just wonder why. Chicken sh1t.

And the Corvette RS1 will eat that for breakfast and spit it out by noon. Can the Nissan do a 7:25? What's the Nissan's best time? Did I hear 7:38 ? The Corvette is the fastest production road car in the world.

Seems they're just trying to be crowd pleasers

If someone wants an AWD supercar (the GTR isn't a supercar), but anyway

I refuse to participate in any debate with creationists because doing so would give them the "oxygen of respectability" that they want.
Creationists don't mind being beaten in an argument. What matters to them is that I give them recognition by bothering to argue with them in public.

The new Audi engines put out 580 hp. Like to see Nissan match that.

Hey its even buddy. I can't buy a Zonda F in the US either (not that I can actually afford one). So, you Brits shouldn't go crying boo hoo.

The R8 V12 TDI engine would easily smoke that GT-R

Nobody hacked, my friend. I said that the next Ferrari would lay everything to rest, and I believe it. I removed the comment myself to focus on smacking the Japanese.

Ya.. I've got a few of those myself. However, you should get educated on the new Corvette about to be launched and shelf your European xenophobia. The new Corvette ZR1 is going to make minced meat of this Nissan, and everything else out there right now, including GT2 and Scuderia.

You guys can keep laughing if you want. I know the guys at Porsche are not laughing because I speak to them.

For a completely stock production car:
Nurburgring est. 7:25, and that's faster than the Zonda F, which holds the current production car world record.
650 hp and 600 lb. of torque
    0 to 60 mph: 3.2 to 3.3 seconds

Already did , seems like a nice car but to say that it's the best or the fastest production road car in the world is ridiculous.
And i think it's a bit unwise to compare some middle of the range TT V6 Nissan sports car with the best car from GM...
It's not xenophobia, it's a matter of state same with the ZR1 Corvette, it's good on a track, light, big V8, lots of low rev torque but utterly brute on the road, that's why it's 60K pounds and that's why you would get a Ferrari or a Lambo, see the LP640 Superleggera concept and what it will do...
    And it looks hideous.
As for the Ring, same want for the Z06 'Vette and the time turned out to be significantly slower i wouldn't rely on that...
I'm not laughing at the car, i'm laughing at the fact that any decent petrolhead would rather get this than say a 599 GTB or LP640 or anyhting similar..and to compare it to the Zonda, even if it were 30s faster, Zonda is a more beautiful, more sonarous and more appealing. Fact.
And i would like to see that Corvette do that time you mentioned.

The performance you get from the Corvette at its price is a bargain really. I would get one if I had the money to.
And the GT-R is Nissan's top sports car. Unless there's going to be a NISMO version available I haven't heard about.

But if I were to get any supercar, it'd be an Audi R8 or Ascari A10.

There's an issue here that a few seem to miss.
The money thing is all on where you live.
If your in the US then the vette is probably the best deal out there for a monster car.. In England or Europe that may well not be the case.

Appearances are also subjective. If you think the Corvette does not look appealing, then I cannot believe that I am in a Nissan thread.

same can be said about audi/porsche/ferrari/bmw/mercedes benz in the USA

also, the GT-R is the top car from nissan till 09 or 10 when the vspec will be released. but by then, GM will have upped the boost levels of the vette and it will be making another 50-100hp.

Personally I would still go for the Lotus Exige.

But in the End... I would rather ride an 08' Hayabusa.
