the stars logo could be a lot cleverer.

i like the core green logo from amd...

not sure about the blue thing - a shooting star ?
i think the logo/image could be more evocative of speed and more abstracted aswell.

but im no graphic designer...and i must admit i like the blue/violet color.

the shape at the 'shooting star's' tail looks like a random squiggle - meaningless.

whereas the amd symbol looks to me like an arrow aswell as an abstracted cpu - it's memorable, i like it.

    Looks good to me

But they could have put a little more effort on it, especially into making that logo look more like a comet than a paper airplane.

Hope thats no sign of "paper launch"
    get it?

    lol

It is really funny, ive seen this logo many months ago! But i thought it is some "home made photoshop pic" and now i am surprised this is official logo! Maybe AMD copies that old amateur logo ...

I bet this is not an original pic from AMD but rather a mock-up drawn from memory by someone who might have seen the real thing. The pic indeed looks exactly as if it was quickly sketched and, literally, done with MSPaint.

No way it's an actual leak from AMD.
You were not supposed to see this.

calm down! If somebody feels like trying to make people think the logo he made is a logo for a processor series, then so be it.

i have to admit that the logo looks better and better everytime i'm seeing it - especially after i saw the higher res version

but, still, i think it's totally random in some way. there's nothing in the logo the customer can associate with the product... you'd think the design department of such a company should be capable of doing something more ... err.. professional and concisely :F

Well, it actually looks better with the colors inverted.
    Sigs are obnoxious.

    very true.

I say we make a new thread in the AMD section called "Project: Help AMD"

Where everyone creates their own AMD logos with photoshop and XS mails them to AMD.
Cause its obvious (if this is real) That the people that are making them now are pretty incompetent.

I mean, just a color invert makes that thing look better, lol.
