To reiterate what Solarfall said, yup same post was in the Dry Ice section. All i can say is its sad to see how plainly idiotic some people can actually behave... I mean who in their right state of mind would attempt to consume LN2 .... the world is full of some strange people

Dipping your hand into molten lead? It will never work, the vapor pressure of lead is way too small. Oh, those silly theoretic physicists, "should"ing this and that.
Edit: or the vapor pressure of water, for that matter. Besides, at that point heat would still be transferred through blackbody radiation. Not to mention standing around in lead vapor. Drain bamage is fun.

Oh it works. Its an old magician's trick. They dip their hand in fairly fast though as not to burn themselves.

Somehow this story reminds me of the boy who decided it would be a good idea to submerge his xbox in a pool of water to cool it.

Bingo, that's a pathetically short submersion. There's not even much time to transfer enough heat to make any real changes to the temperature of your hand, if you do it that quickly. You can flick the torch flame, which burns at about 1200 Celsius and not feel anything as well.
