    When In Doubt....

    Overclock.

    C2D e6600 @ 3ghz was getting @ most 6.6MCeM's

then i decided i was tired of getting slaughtered, so i decided that overclocking was my friend

    e6600 @ 3.4 now getting 7.7MCeM's

it'll probably level off around 6.9 when all is said and done.. but wewt for OC'ing

toobad it takes 1.5 Vcore to reach 3.6ghz

    Mine tails off too.
I find a restart about once a week keeps it on top.
is that 7.4 Cems per service?
I'm getting around 5.5 to 6 per service on my 6300 @3200 mhz

Hmmm... tailing off is very strange indeed. Never experienced it, although it does happen when I'm running other stuff on it... Guys... Just an idea... is your rate changing anything to to with finishing one block and starting another? Cos you do know that different k/n pairs give different rates.

Yea, don't think it's that though.
If you just shut down and restart, carrying on with the same numbers you instantly get a better output.

Are you running 2 services or 1?
I Imagine that's 2, Still a fair increase over what I get at 3200 though.

pump that voltage up, i have 1.525 going through my E6400 with a big typhoon.
I was thinking of upping it to 1.575 or 1.6. These cpu's can handle quite a bit of heat, but most people are scared and still using the 90nm AMD standards regarding temps.

i currently load at 60C with the BT and use to load at 65C with the stock cooler.

i have not heard of a single person burning up their C2D yet do to overheat. My next stop will be 70C at full load.

OC that bad boy to the MAX

Intels can take up to 80C without too much trouble (talking from experience). Never blew any CPU due to overheating yet... I have even seen one at 120 for a split second when the cooler wasn't mounted correctly, and the poor P3 is still working fine

I blew one of my overclocked Xeons on the weekend. A 2.4Ghz running at 3.8Ghz with 1.6v. The other one in their still works fine so not sure what the problem was it’s been running fine like that for over a year… pisses me off!! Not going to be easy to find another one that will do 3.8Ghz again.

Coretemp is showing 69c & 70c running WCG and DPAD. This is with 1.6625v on watercooling. Haven't had any noticable heat-related problems. Once I add the x1900XT I'm getting from AFI to the loop, I think the temp might go up a bit, since it's all on a PA160.

Im one of those people, i still regard 50* C as the absolute max i want my CPU.

and its close right now @ 49* C Fully loaded.

Perhaps if im feeling frisky :P i'll up it and see what i can get to...

65nm vs. 90nm still worries me.

    Jose,
Someone has a very profound quote in their sig around these parts and me thinks its Ozzimark.

In overclocking he who tries the most things wins.

Basically keep temps low ( and with LV_DD's WC'ing) and keep clocks high.

im more than happy to help but i dont really konw how to describe starting from scratch.

Dave: Actually showing 12million? or a combined 12million?

sheesh, if i cant get each core to 12million it may just be worth it to dump my "side" project for some SoB Stomping.
