this is getting scary, amd should begin to worry about intel, i might take my laptop cpu to test it, pentium m 745 (its not one of the best but it should do better than my venice 3200+ if we just had mobos for this cpus down here)

Dothan is amazing.
Intel is STUPID.
The P4 840 Extreme Edition SHOULD have been 2 x 780 cores on 1 CPU. They could probably get them to run at 2.6gHz default...
Maybe Intel needs to completely get rid of "mhz" kinda like when AMD called everything by PR? Or still do, actually, lol...
Not sure if this will hit the market.

Holy ! Now that is a screenshot I can appreciate...considering you guys have benches around 100% overclock to back it up.. ...amazing stuff from japan everyday.Originally Posted by PRTeamJapan

Is this the same P-M or different ones? Some mighty good results.

400MHz CL2.0-2-2-5-4-E-A-A Turbo (1:1 200MHz)、
So running 2x512MB instead of 2x256MB is about 0,1s faster in SuperPI when using a Dothan?
When I compare TAM and duck their results (both at exactly the same clocks) TAM is 0,124s faster. And the only real difference in their setups is the mem.
Or do the memtimings make the difference?
TAM runs CL2.0-2-2-5-4-A-A-A and duck CL2.0-2-2-5-4-E-A-A
Both are awesome scores though
when running 2 x 256mB set to "Enable" and when running 2 x 512mB set to "Auto", that's the difference between TAM and DUCK timings.Originally Posted by SynGroW

Wow, better each time. Will 4.2 give us under 18.4? I would assume so. Also, would running a 16x multiplier and 261 give them a better time?
of course it should give some boost, but for some unknown reason they can't run those 780's @ that high speeds with higher fsb's than 240~250mhz
I never knew that. I thought that they use to run the 730's @ higher fsb's. Can dothan run half dividers?Originally Posted by Sesto Sento

WOAH...nice OC man.....wow thats ing great
Hmm interesting- looks like he has managed to crack the low FSB riddle with 400mhz CPU's
Anychance of any Volt mods to the CT479 , or i wounder if the VIO is the key.
it's a 533mhz cpu.....but cpuz shows it as a 735....same happened with 780ES....
The 18 seconds keep falling.. great work.
