The new BH-UTT chips have nor problem with a CasLatency of 3 (at least mine).
BTW, if the sticks do CL3 or not, doesn't determine, if they're BH-chips or not. It's just a matter of SPD-programming. So basically every RAM out there can have problems at CL3, if the SPD is programmed for CL2 and CL2.5 only. I recently had a pair of VT RAMs (rebadged Nanya Chips supposedly) and they didn't boot at CL3 either.

mine booted at cl3, and cl2. CL2 up to 235, before i hit mobo limit. I must have some weird RAM then, since i was using 2.7v, and 2.9v seems to cause erroring. Maybe it just needs some heavy duty burn in.

ive just had my SP 3500 (new bh-5) sticks replaced by komplett uk, luckily they also found the errors i was having with them on my nf7 board... its just a question now if i order 2x512 of the 3200 SP (ch-5 / utt) and cross my fingers they work better now i have 3.3V to throw at them.. any thoughts?

I think you have a better chance of running 1t with CH/UTT. BH-5 have always had problems with 1t with 2x512mb sticks. But in the end everything is down to chance.

why not try out these geil value sticks from OCuk, they went all the way to 250 memtest-stable 1t on my DFI NF2 Infinity. I think they're cheaper than the TWSP at komplett anyway.

yeah, as i said, my geil value got up to 235mhz before my mobo became the limiting factor, that was at 2-3-2-11, with 2.7v 1t. Personally, i don't like Twinmos RAM, and this geil stuff is £70 for a matched pair, twinmos is £80 for unmatched. And it's still UTT, which means it has the same chance as the geil. Geil also comes on brainpower, btw.

Where did you get the Geil Value from, is the OcUK stock UTT?

OcUK. I think it is, yeah. I'm not 100% sure mine is, but i can get it to the speeds i said, and if anyone wants to tell me what to look for, i'll have a check for it.
Don't think there'd be much point you getting it though, i doubt it's as god as the gskill 4400LE.

So far ive ordered 2 dual packs from OCuk and both have been sick. Both max out at 260fsb. i'm almost certain the current stock is UTT.

@don vercetti your sticks are UTT, no other ram can do those settings. you can always check the metal tabs under the heatspreaders on each IC to be 100% sure. Like they say, seeing is believeing

    @don_vercetti:
    1. Pull the clips (Screwdriver between clip 'n hs. Pull it off)
    2. Rip the plates open. (Use your fingers/creditcard/screwdriver. Lever the plates off starting from the bottom)
You were not supposed to see this.

you dont need to take off the heatspreaders to work out whether they are UTT. look at the bottom edges of the IC's along the bottom of the PCB. There should be two metal tabs on the bottom of each IC. It's kinda hard to explain, but you can take the heatspreaders off if you want to cool the sticks better. I put mine in the freezer for half an hour, took em out and they popped off easily.

check this pic out, found in the thread higher up, look at the tabs on the end of the IC.

    here's how u tell

see the 2 small solder balls on each of the ICs?
    2 means winbond
    4 means hynix
no other manufacturer puts 2 solder balls on like that.

sweet thanks, i didnt want to take off the spreaders.... so what if i dont have the balls...

ive got 2 512 single sticks... im currently at 238mhz 2.5-3-3-11 b/c of max vdimm is 2.9 in bios (need to do a vdimm mod) also my NF7-S keels over at 240mhz, need to up the NB voltage...

Just checked and there is 4 solder points, so i guess i either have Hynix D5 or D43... any way of finding out w/o having to pop off the spreaders?

My UTT chips are a little weird. I'm limited to 2.85v, so my results are very minimal, and on my DFI LP 754 board i never did about 3.2v anyways (only got to play with them @ 3.2v for like 3 days). In my neo2 right now, I run 220mhz @ 2-2-2-5 just fine. I've done some extensive testing on 2.85v, and the max I can do error free on 2-2-2-5 is 223FSB, on 2-3-3-6, 236fsb. Here's the catch. I can't do 2.5-x-x-x anything above 240fsb without SOME errors. Even at 245fsb, i get less errors at 2-3-3-6 then i do on ANY combination of 2.5-x-x-x.

More results when I get an Ultra-D sometime either later this month or very early June. I'll be upping my pots to support 3.7v

These Geil Hynix sticks i have arent to bad, im memtest stable @ 238mhz 2.5-2-2-11 w/ 2.65vdimm... the only problem is that when i boot into windows at 2.65 or 2.75 it restarts its self after a min or two, i was just wondering why it would do this, but be memtest stable on test 5

    im on a nf7-s, 2400+ XP-M 35w 238x10.5 w/ 1.85vcore, D26 Manarays XT 2T
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=19387

would i be able to handle 1T or is it worth trying

I bought anothher set. for myself this time.
the ICs look identical to d43s. 4 tiny little tabs.
these chips can't do crap. 3-3-3-10 maxes at like 210
2-3-3-6 runs ok at 200. anywhere above it just craps itself. I tried 3.2V. no dice.
    the serial number is GE1GB3200BHDC
    n0000000000000000
i'm gonna sell these modules and try some muchkin rams.
