    P5AD2-E 350mhz FSB easy :)

    Can't get this board over 350mhz though. Has anyone gone over 350mhz on this board?

    I've gotten 360mhz FSB since. running ramm 1:1 at 3-2-2-2 timings

    what ram you got to run 3,2,2,2 on this board.....
    Even OCZ's new DDR2 can't run at those timings?

    3-2-2-2@360FSB? wowowowwowo...congrats mate, that's a heck of a good ram you got there, and nice CPU + mobo combo too. Did you use the CPU lock free (hence, the x8 multiplier? i thought they only work on Prescotts. In any case, good work there mate....

    note the screenie attached. CPU-Z reports wrongly!!!! My ram is not running the 3:4 divider, but the 1:1 divider (my ram's not that uber). and CPU-Z can even report the Tras of 1 (too low...hehe)...but Everest in the background can.

    But note that I will need to cool the NB more / more voltage, as bandwidth actually drops (I've discovered) above the 335mhz or so mark. We'll see.

    My ram is Wintec Industries DDR2.

    Didn't realise you were asking about divider and timings AT 360FSB. My ram is voltage limited. on my old Abit, I could run DDR2-720 at 3-2-2-4 timings at 2.4v. Now, this board only goes to 2.2v, and 3-2-2-1 timings at DDR2-680 is actually quite good. But as I said before, at this fsb, bandwidth for the memory actually drops.

    well...it's not really "extra ordinary" several other members and I have had the same results over at Overclockers Australia Forums.

    I can confirm this. I have the P5AD2-E also running at 360 MHz with an 3.46 GHz EE.

    Wich voltages do you use in the chipset of the board ?

    And which is the highest secure voltage to run a 560j E0 24/7 with good cooling (good WC system) ???

    I couldnt do the DDR900 3:4

    I can bench 3D at 321FSB 1:1 3-2-2-4 2.15v on the AA8XE

    Problems with the P5AD2, once you get too cold the bios reports +125c and goes into error mode where it takes a long time to post to the first bios screen. The power down on reset or reboot is a pain and can pose a problem for phase change units. Some of the P5AD2-E Premium boards were made from P5AD2 Deluxe motherboards and lack the second PCIE based lan adapter even though specs are listed on box.

    Which RAM are you using with that timings FUGGER ???

    Can you post your Bios Settings to achieve that high FSB ???
    Because I can't achieve more than 305 at this time...
    I have a 560j E0 Corsair pc5400...

    I believe he's using some Centon Micron DDR2-667 Engineering Samples. It'll be a bad purchase of anything else other than DDR2 utilising DDR2-667 now (just a week or two and we might see retails of modules using these chips)

    this is gonna sound stupid, but how can I find out if my Corsair XMS2 DDR2667 has those Micron chips?

    Sorry I should've been more specific, I meant "too cold" for the Asus. It's just out of curiosity.

    Just disale in bios and you will be fine

    V1t0, they have them for sure. You should be able to run 3-2-2-x timing well beyond 300FSB

    Last i knew, Corsair DDR2 didn't overclock as well as other Micron competitiors. They may have improved their speed binning now though.
