ok so i decided to yank out my board to test this NB stuff quickly from my end and i dont see a problem. This is the first time i tested this CPU also and it will do 3000Mhz nb easy

Here is 3200MHz NB with same settings also.....maybe try a normal hard drive rather than the OCZ one, no idea whats up with your rig but i dont think its a board issue :s

uncore at AMD is cool impact...Try Cinebenchs R11.5, superpis, 3D Marks etc etc or so...here u can see next impact in score...My 1090T hit 7.8points in r11.5 (aircooled)

For Thuban si 3 GHz at uncore "nothing". Example, my 1090T can hit stable with 1.28V 3GHz at CPU-NB, my 1100T with 1.3V. Thubans topped in stable setings at 3000-3150 MHz with CPU-NB voltage about 1.3-1.35V

    my superpi 1M (aircooled)

here with only 2 cores my record in 32M at AMD

i am using F3 and my colleague in taiwan is also using the same bios and our rigs dont seem to have this sort of issue

3GHz is not normal for 965. i remember one of my chips had a hard time around 3GHz and second 3.1 on normal cooling. this X6 could bench at 3.3 NB also from my testing tonight but there is no point, the issue doesnt seem to exist here

Heh I think he's referring to his own personal record

That time can be beaten by pro and myself at under 4.5 gig

ah, I thought, u told about your 1090T...of course, for Denebs is stable limit about 2800-2900 MHz with better chips. My 970 BE is freak , only 2650 MHz at CPU-NB .

Chew*: man, with u is no chance to win in benchmarks

    My 965 was a freak, benched 3130 NB in 1M, about 3050 in 32M...good for 3000 24/7. However, that CPU needed 1.55v for 4 Ghz stable...lol
My 1100T does exactly the same at X6...it needs 1.34v on CPUNB for 3000 stable. 3375 is the absolute limit in 32M on two cores @ 1.46v. However this CPU does 4 Ghz at 1.43v.
My 565 is even worse, 2800 NB is stable at 1.35v, however it will not even bench at 2900. I cant even boot at 2900 up to 1.45v. This CPU does 4 Ghz @ 1.42v, however will not boot above 4.2 Ghz @ 1.55.

I would call my 1100T on the bottom half of normal. 3000 to 3200 CPUNB seems the norm for 24/7 use. Anything higher and you probably have a gem, anything lower than 3000 I would be bummed out. My CPU seems pretty normal I would suppose core wise as well, it does 4.1 @ 1.48-1.5v (hard to tell because of board limitations)

For X4 it looked like 2800-2900 was normal, and those of us with chips that did above 3000 were special.

It all depends......I have some chips with really decent NB on ln2 and they suck on air. Vice versa with good air chips to ln2. It all depends on what your goals are.

no ,the first run with a single disk was 0 Fill ,because i was making a direct comparision with his guy,
    he used 0 fill also

its the same disk and under the same firmware
but he is using an ASUS M4A87TD - USB3

the write seems Ok,but not the read and i used the Microsoft ACHI drives and AMD ones
and after re-checking again, the Microsoft ones gave me a boost in read but i loose in write
thats fine, u should see much more 4k random read improvements in the 240GB version, since of 25nm use.

So what's wrong w/ the Gigabutt? I was desperately trying to find my UD3, might go for ASRock then....

This Gigabyte 990FXA UD7 is a lovely, powerful board, i think this is the one im gonna get for my upgrade as soon as its out, i like the layout and that it has 6 sata3 ports as well as 2 esata3 ports.

Good thing about this upgrade for all of us that have a 790fx that skipped the 890fx series we just need to purchase the mobos 990fx and use our existing mem, cpu, graphics, psu, brill eh.

Then once bulldozers out replace existing CPU and your done.

    What a lovely upgrade path.

At present i think my rig fat and i can only see things getting better for me.

now we are playing with a new 1100T but 2800 seems so far...

what are you using for NB VID?

i've had a good play with my 1090T and i can bench 3DMARK11 up to 4.4GHz with up to 3200 NB and up to 335HTT

this is one of the shots i had saved with dual GTX470 cards, 315HTT, 3150NB
