I'd assume jabtech and other resellers have the latest/final revisions of the top/reservoir in stock? Does the pump/reservoir combo allow compression fitting size of 1/2'' with OD tubing size of 3/4"" http://www.jab-tech.com/Swiftech-MCP...p-pr-4750.html

No, Gabe has not replied that it's done yet. Will have a delryn top and fit 3/4" OD compression fittings.

So no, we are still waiting.

Will the pump run at 100% if the pwm is not connected to a fan controller/motherbaord?

Is only the res getting a revision, or the non-res pump top as well?

Is the delrin top the final revision? I don't need the reservoir so if that is the only thing being updated I can buy the pump and top immediately.

Yes, your fittings will work fine on the pump. It's the top/res that is restricted to smaller fittings. Hopefully a newer revision will correct this issue, as well as others soon.

New! (12-30-10) : Revision 2 of the MCP35X reservoir is now shipping. It supports compression fittings for up to 3/4" (tube OD) as shown below, and features an additional port inside of the fill-cap, that can be used to install a remote fill-port.

The compression fittings above are shown for demonstration purposes only, and sold separately by Swiftech resellers. The shipped product includes a set of Swiftech barb fittings, and G1/4 port plugs.

this might be a stupid question, but doesn't the sponge thing to prevent cyclones from forming reduce flow rate?

    Nice
If I may ask, why didn't you go with the Delrin for the top? I'm a bit worried about it's weight like MagisD...
The EK RMA thread got me thinking about materials, so I'm wondering if the res is extruded or cast acrylic?
Can't wait until Sidewinder gets this in stock!

I wouldn't think so. That is not a sponge; its actually very porous; more like a mesh.

Have we consluded that this pump is worth the cost over a 355? I imagine its more worthwhile with the new design.

I haven't hooked up the V1 of the 35X res yet, but the Mini-Tank from Bitspower did perform better without the sponge. Also, the Swiftech sponge looks much less dense than the BP sponge.

Now I want to get that reservoir mounted... hmmm.

could one take out the sponge and prevent the cyclone from occurring if the res was completely filled?
