    6970 Trifire benchmarks.

So my 6970's should be here tomorrow or Friday, and I need some benchmarks to run that you guys want to see. So list them off so I can download them since my internet is powered by hamsters on sleeping pills.

    So far I have downloaded...

    3Dmark11
    unigine heavan 2.1

These are the games I have...

Sadly no, just 2560x1440. But I could run with 4x SSAA which is the same as 10240x5760...

I would love to see some eyefinity action. I want to know how or if 3 GPU's scale in eyefinity. Yes you could run high settings and high resolution, but this does not accurately simulate eyefinty. Tri Fire ran for the most part just fine on a single monitor even up to 2560x1600 with high settings, however with eyefinity enabled, scaling stopped at 2 cards. I know this 1st hand as I was running 3 HD5870's in CF when I decided to try eyefinity out. Eyefinity is fine with 2 cards, but with 3 or more, it added nothing.

I'll see if I can source some monitors to borrow. Can I use two 24" ones with my 30"?

Thanks mate, 3x 6970 is roughly the same as 3x 580s in a eyefinity setup of 5760x1200, like 300$ cheaper for all 3 cards..

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

I wonder if eyefinity works with the 69xx series in tir-fire or quad-fire, the 5xxx series was a huge fail at that. Have they fixed that yet?

They are hot and loud... Definitely getting watercooling for them. One card hit 101c @ 75% fan speed in unigine heaven 2.1.

What's odd is that none of the cards go over 66% load.

I don't know about you, but it looks to me like 6970 CF gives the GTX 580 SLI a run for the money:

Remember the price: 6970: $369 USD, GTX 580: $519 USD

    Stalker:
580 is 6.7% faster than 6970, but somehow 6970 CF is 7.2% faster than 580 SLI.

    BF:BC2:
580 is 19.9% faster than 6970, but 580 SLI is only 1.7% faster than 6970 CF, 6900's CF scaling is really that good

Also check this out 6950cfx review
    http://www.guru3d.com/news/radeon-hd...sfirex-review/
ATi's high end card in SLi competes with NVIDIA's last generation high end in SLi, not bad!

Still, holy **** 580 GTX in SLi, 108FPS in BC2 with 8xAA, 16x AF, DX11, maxed out, high res? That is nuts to.

Cards are advancing so fast this days.

Seems they're about even with NVIDIA scaling according to the BC2 Benchmark, so not bad.

So 600$ for a little less performance as 1000$(2x GTX580's) 400$ less, for about 13-14FPS less. Reasonable, for sure.

For the price of a single 580 you could Crossfire two of these babies.

    Good going ATi.
