Just curious OCX, how well does your Memory do?

Of course all the V's are at stock, but I've been pushing Mem a little,
running Heaven bench and watching for tearing....

I've got the core set @ 945 (for now) and the mem @ 1150.
Temps stay well under control (<60c @ 40% fan speed), but anything over that starts causing corruption...

Maybe I need to adjust the fan profile.

I'm planning to get a 6850, deciding between sapphire and msi, which company has the better overvolt software?

    Honestly somiao,

If I had it to do over again, I'd probably spend the extra $$$'s and go for the MSI... Afterburner is killer software, and since it's supported by MSI it will probably offer the best features earlier....

I'm not really dissapointed with this Sapphire 6870, it's a nice card, but the whole TriXX software thing is a little is a little disappointing.
Theres no voltage control for the Sapphire 6870's yet, even though the box touts TriXX...

This will probably change pretty quickly, the hardware is there, but the whole deal with the advertising V control and the software not being there is a little aggrevating....

Either way, Unless you have a 58xx card already, the 68xx's would be a good choice, reguardless of the manufacturer...

Yeah i'm more interested in the msi, since it has better support in my country, it looks cooler too, but was worried since earlier versions of ab has no overvolt features

Daveburt - I've only benched it at 1000/1150 for the moment, i'll try and up it to 1250 and see what happens. Will report back!

Edit: Seems to be running fine at 1000/1200, havent pushed further. One thing I did notice when I started pushing higher was I first went from 1100 to 1150, then 1150 to 1170, then 1185 and it the screen started tearing. Then I backed off to 1160 and increased by 5MHz each time. Now running fine at 1200 passing Heaven & 3DMark06.

OK newest Afterburner Beta with "EnableUnofficialOverclocking=1" in config.cfg enabled me to go above 850mhz and voltage regulation up to 1.25V!

running 1000/1200 right now; more tests will follow once i get the 1055T overclocked again and a musashi onto the 6850!

Stock GA HD 6850 BIOS backup or actually all the tools you need to play with the HD 6850 BIOS and more... as compiled by me. Enjoy!

Are the max. clocks with TriXX limited? or unlimited?

    @strategos
Problem is ulps with crossfire, when u config enableunofficialoverclocking = 1, u get bsods ,so put it back on 0 or disable ulps...I didn't get to work it yet to disable ulps
