Lets sum up the pros and cons...

    Pros
    - SATA 3.0
    - USB 3.0
    - Intel NIC
    - ROG Connect
    - Beefier NB heatsink
    - Voltage measurement points
    - Software Xi-Fi 2 with EAX 5.0 support
    - Unified red/black theme

    Cons
    - No IDE port
    - No fusion block support
    - No LCD poster
    - No socket 775 mounting holes

Will R3G be priced higher than the good ole R2G??

umm can you show me a board that does display all of that with the onboard post leds , they all only display boot codes and error codes they dont display voltages and the classi does show the temp of cpu but thats it and most people disable that anyway.

Exactly.. I would opt for an LCD display over diagnostic LEDs any time.

Compared with the R2G, but you're right. Maybe its time to drop it for such high-end boards.

I bought this board from that ewiz.com link. I used the promo code BUBBLE20 (I think that's what it was) to get $20 off, so $215.99 total including free shipping ain't too bad.

Very interested in a full review.

To be honest, I hate that in Hong Kong this retails for close to 300 USD, rather than the 220 in US.

Hey that's totally no problem! Didn't mean to rush you or anything, just wanted to express how much I'm looking forward to it as I'm in the market for MATX X58 after my EVGA kicked the bucket.

    Keep it up, friend

    EDIT: Some interesting findings here...

Why should the RIIIGene be so much slower than the EVGA Micro if both use ICH10R?

Any benchmarks on this thing yet? I got mine today and did a ssf build with it. But i'm having issues with my kingston hyper x t1 2,000 with x.m.p. If i even try to use it the board will nto full boot, set it on auto it boots fine but at 1066.

Same as overclocking, i have to leave it on auto or it will not overclock. So i'm just going to mess around with it. would be nice to get a unofficial thread for it though.

As posted above me my ssd gets slower benchmarks then my R2E full atx board does. Not sure, perhaps need some better drivers maybe.

I am very happy with mine 211bclk, 4.4G 950 with noctua and 6G ram at 1600 linX stable. All low voltage but cpu at 1.45Vcore. Looking forward to the review.

and then they say this :
    Code:
The R3G also returned reasonable, if not spectacular SATA speeds of 221MB/sec via its ICH10R based SATA 3Gbps ports and of 216MB/sec from its Marvel 9128-powered SATA 6Gbps ports.
Let's say something is bugged in the benches... should all be head to head... Gonna try to get me one... and compare it to the RE 3
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
