Dimension of Zalman VF3000 VRM heatsink?

I using Trad 2 GTX, but I can not buy VRM heatsink, all shops at my location don't import them

Therefore I want to make a VRM heatsink for ATI 5850, I see to make the VRM heatsink like VF3000 is easy. Anyone have the dimension of edge, hole, tall?

Trad 2 is good, but it can not use with backplate , the heatsink RAM is so small to take the heat, VRM temp sky up to 105 oC after 30s while with stock fan it is stable at 90 oC with extreme burning mode in Furmark. The room temp is 33 oC!

Or the cad drawing of 5850 ref board.

    Many thanks !

Finally I make a heatsink for VRM -combine legend AS5 thermal compound - not nice but it is more effect than stockfan . With stockfan VRM temp is more than 90oC, with my DIY heatsink + Trad2 GTX, VRM temp is more than 80oC (all test with Furmark). Core/mem is 765/1125. I use two fan 90 Thermalright, 1500RPM!

Nice. I've been wanting to get a vrm sink for my non-reference 4890, but nothing fits.

Might try doing it like that photo. Buying a large one and hacking it up. Can't find anywhere to buy suitable heatsinks though

if u are on the 5850 why not use the stock vrm/ram plate it cools well with some air on it and with a trad it will have no problem doing the job as good if not better than what u have

Can not use backplate with Trad 2 because it too thin, the heatpipe cut on the way! If want to use backplate, you must mod the backplate: cut the part that collision with heatpipe, if do that you will loose warranty!

@mejobloggs: I use heatsink from a junk amplifier, I buy it at an eletric market! Very cheap, about 1USD for 3 piece !

Yeah, before buy it I've thought can use with backplate too, some disapointed when install.

As I said I bought it at electric component market, there have some place sell junk, old component, you can buy everything: dead, live, old...component!
